bakugo is banging so hard that you’re a little scared he might break the door down. you glance at the clock while you rush to open the door before the wood splinters— 01:26.
“come on, i know you’re in there, yn. open the fucking door,” he hollers through the door. you’d be scared if it was anyone else, but he wouldn’t ever dare to hurt you, no matter how long it’s been.
you swing open the door and just barely dodge his fist colliding with your face. “katsuki, what the fuck are you doing here? i told you i wanted no contact, and—”
he’s already pushing his way into your apartment, swaying on his feet when his mouth collides with yours. he kicks the door closes, spinning you around and pressing you flat against the wood.
you can taste the booze on his tongue as it slides against yours, and you try your very hardest to not groan into his mouth. this is a bad idea. he’s drunk, and it’s barely been a month since you broke up, and you don’t want anything to do with him, but fuck if you didn’t miss how he tastes.
his hands are on the side of your face, and you have half the mind not to slip your hands into his hair, but you can’t help yourself. it was always a guilty pleasure of yours, playing with his hair— especially when you made out with him. it always made him melt just so; even if he tried to deny how much he liked it.
his hair has grown out a lot since the last time you saw him, his undercut grown long and it makes him look younger, like he did in high school.
usually he’s more reserved, but he’s drunk now, and it’s you, so he has zero filter, for his actions and his words. “fuck, i missed you, baby,” he whispers against your lips. he pulls away for a moment, his chest heaving and a string of spit stretching between your mouths. you’re disgusted for half a second, but then his lips are on yours again and you suddenly don’t care.
“this is a bad idea, kats,” you mumble in between kisses, but it only seems to spur him on further. by your third “this is such a bad idea,” he’s gotten fed up and slams his fist into the wood.
“if it’s such a bad fucking idea, why are you still kissing me?” there’s a split second where you think he’s trying to be funny, but you look up at him and his eyes are wet and shiny, and it’s not from the alcohol.
“no, don’t katsuki me. don’t you still love me? i still love you. fuck, i miss you every single fucking day. i keep waking up in the morning and reaching for you and you’re not fucking there, and it hurts like hell. it hurts to not have you by my side anymore. i miss my man. i miss you, damn it.”
he drops his head onto your shoulder, and suddenly you don’t know what to do anymore. your hands hover awkwardly over his back, before dropping gently and rubbing soothing circles into the fabric there. katsuki didn’t get drunk often, mostly because of this— he’s a sad drunk.
“i’m sorry. just please, baby, come back to me. i don’t care that it’s a bad idea, i don’t care what anyone thinks. i just need you in my life again,” he whispers. “don’t you still love me…?”
“i… of course i still love you, kats. i spent years of my life loving you. it’s just—” snore.
another snore echoes through your apartment, and you gently lift him off your shoulder to see him fully knocked out. fucking hell.
you lift him up, bridal style, carrying him to the bedroom. there’s no way you’re letting him sleep on the couch. you’re slightly upset about being left high and dry, but you digress. you take the couch for the night, curling up with an extra blanket and pillow until you drift off.
it’s not until the next morning when you realize you’ve been moved, katsuki’s face pressed into your hair, his arms draped casually over your waist. it makes your stomach twist, how domestic this all feels.
“i love you,” he mumbles, still half asleep.
