ATTENTION PEOPLE IN THE NORTHEASTERN KENTUCKY AREA. (Or anywhere, really)

This is Riley. He’s 2 years old and currently located at the Tri County Shelter in Morehead, KY. He’s known as their longest resident. He’s solid black and and I’m concerned that’s why no one is taking him. Many people in this area and in general are superstitious of black cats and think they are just bad news and that obviously isn’t true.

But anyway, this shelter is a kill shelter and they claim they are going to begin euthanizing cats May 27. I’m worried Riley isn’t going to make it out and he has his whole life ahead of him. I would save him myself but I am unable to take in more cats at my house.

His adoption fee is only $25.

I just wanted to share this to try to help him. Please signal boost this to try to get him out there to someone who will help him and keep him and love him unconditionally like he will them.

And he’s very shy with humans at first, but then very lovable. They’re not sure how he is with other cats, but a proper introduction cat-to-cat is always helpful at starting a good relationship!
