New Blog and Instagram Page!!
So, I've had this love (more of an obsession really) with nail polish and nail art. I have always wanted to make a page on Instagram dedicated to only nail art but was always a bit nervous to do so. One day I got the courage to do so and created a new page for my nail art. Not only did I do just that, but I also created another blog on Wordpress. Why? Because I am crazy as hell and need my brain checked. My blog on Wordpress will be dedicated to mostly nail art, beauty, and DIY's and my Instagram will be strictly nail art and nail polish swatches. If you like, you can check both of them out and take a glance!

DIY Wire Clef Ring from My Virtuous Hands here. There isn’t much of tutorial but there are a few photos to guide you. I translated this blog from Spanish to English using Chrome. I have posted pages of DIY wire jewelry here.
DIY or Buy. Crochet Superhero Snails by Fallen Designs on Etsy. Fallen Designs sells patterns for the snails here: $5 for 1, or $9 for 2. My favorites from her store:
Batsnail here. (sold)
The Incredisnail Hulk here. $20
Green Snailtern here. $20 (could be made into a Ninja Turtle)
Captain Snailmerica here. $20
DIY Accessory Holder I bought a Memo Pad holder from Target but it ended up being too small for my memo pads. So, I decided to put it to better use. I grabbed my Elmer’s X-treme glue, my left over scrapbook paper from my last DIY and my scissors. I only covered the outside perimeter and since the memo pad had a little open slot I used a black card stock I had lying around and glued it to the back of the scrapbook paper (as shown in pic #3). I used it to put my little bows in it and then decided to pile on my big ones. I could even use it to hold my rings, bracelets, maybe even to display some of my nail polishes. Use it to display anything really.
DIY key chain makeover Last month I went to sunny San Diego for the first time. It was beautiful. I loved it! On our last night, as we left the restaurant, there were two girls handing out keychain bottle openers to everyone that passed by. One of the keychains was a surfboard. I liked it and decided to keep it, not like I will ever use it, but because I saw the "CoorsLight" logo and thought "makeover!!". I decided to use nailpolish but you can use acrylic paint or markers even. Since I used nailpolish, I used my nail art brushes to write the letters. TIP: use a little Vaseline on the brush to keep the bristles together while using with polish. It protects them from staining, drying out, and makes it easy to remove the polish. In the end I used 3 coats of a clear nail polish and some glitter nail polish just because I can't live without glitter. Now I have my own personal CSULB surfboard keychain. I'm quite happy with it. :)

DIY Phone Speaker I saw the toilet roll speaker phone idea from the all famous Pinterest and thought it a clever idea. I decided to try it out but refused to have it displayed in its original state in my room. So, I got my Elmer's X-treme glue, scissors, scrapbook paper, and pencil an started to work. You could use push pins to hold the "speaker" up but since I didn't have any, I looked around my jar of buttons and found the ones that I liked. In the end, I'm quite pleased with the result. It works perfectly, not like the real things, but good enough to be able to hear from any room in my house.

Linen Upholstered | Draper Chest | Campaign Hack | White & Gold Makeover
IKEA is the crafters dream - so many pieces are so easy to make your own with a bit of paint, hardware and inspiration! I have to say, the linen upholstered piece is gorgeous and I would love to have it in my house. Of course, if you don’t want to buy IKEA or can’t, then this kind of makeover could be done on any plain dresser too, but it’s height makes it great as a bedside table too.
