Human filtered aroace Alastor

It has come to my attention that some of my fellow aroace fans of Alastor feel isolated in the fandom. For fans of Alastor who do not like shipping the advice is usually to block the ship tags and block people who post ships without proper tagging. However, this has led to Tumblr's blocking system apparently working against them as the tag tends to be almost empty for them. This blog aims to fix that by creating a way for sex/romance-repulsed fans of Alastor to enjoy the Alastor tag without having to worry.

Everything from the #alastor tag will be reblogged to this blog except for the following:

Sex/romance Alastor ship posts: the main purpose of the blog is to remove this from the equation, allowing repulsed aroace fans to view platonic versions of the ships without worry.

RP posts: No one can predict in what direction a role-playing blog might go as it depends on the interactions between the blog and those who send in messages. I don't want to create the idea that the RP blog is sex/romance-free only for it to go in that direction in the future

Anti-Hazbin content: I do not repost such content on my main blog and I will not post that here. The idea of this blog is for people to have fun so I will not bring that negativity into this space.

Spam posts: Added as an exception on 31st December 2024. I will not be reblogging posts from spam blogs that post in the tags to sell products to fans. I don't trust the things they are selling and today I had to deal with one that basically filled the tags with their products. With agreement based on the poll, I shall not be subjecting viewers to those kinds of posts.

Even if you have a ship tag blocked, you can click on it on this blog with the knowledge that it will be platonic. However, just because that post can be viewed platonically does not mean that the op's blog posts the ship platonically. I just want it to be known that I don't personally agree with everything I reblog to this blog. Part of the purpose of the exceptions is to prevent me from using personal bias to pick what I reblog. There are therefore times when I reblog a post that makes me angry enough to want to go on a rant because they do not meet any of the exceptions to reblogging, like the annoying post I had to reblog on the 29th of January 2025. Wondering if the common fandom assumption that the logo colors represent the villains of the season is a red herring and is instead representing who/what conflict will be getting a lot of focus that season.

Season 1 Adam was the villain but the logo eas red because the whole focus was on the hotel and Charlie beginning to step into her role as a leader. Vox was the villain of season 2 but also he got the lion's share of character development during season 2. We learn his backstories, his motives, how he operates, and are given a lot of insight on his relationships.

We know that the Vee's are going to take turns as villains and that Val is the villain of season 3 and Vel is the villain of season 4, but Valentino's colors aren't purple and green and gold isn't Vel's color.

Alastor's alternative color palette during musical numbers are green and purple and he'll be "more villainous" next season, but he's not "the villain" next season. But I think next season is going to bring many of the mysteries surrounding his character to light (what did Rosie wanted him to do, why he was gone for 7 years) while also hinting at how close he actually is to Charlie. Assuming Crymini was one of the cut characters, Mimzy is the only main chracter yet to join the cast but the writers thought it was very important to establish her relationship with Alastor in season 1. I don't know if we'll get his motivations quite yet (Amir knows what event set him on his current path but didn't know if it would be explored in future seasons but then again he could just be saying that to further obfuscate s3 spoilers). But I think we're at at the very least going to explore what his agenda is and his relationships next season.

Obviously don't have a clue what's happening in season 4 but since gold is associated with heaven and the angels we might get a lot of development for Sera, Emily and Lute (with hints of Lilith attacking heaven and "the threat hell may pose" it's possible that the events of season 3 will force them to directly confront the threat they were trying to avoid by exterminations). Obviously lute needs her arc with Vaggi too, and so much of their past hasn't been explored yet.

Hints have suggested that Roo will be the endgame villain but the logo going back to red could also mean focus on Charlie and the hotel again. Perhaps bookending her season 1 arc of finding her voice by having her as a more confident leader after confronting her own inner darkness that she's been suppressing.

Idk it's rough trying to speculate but it makes more sense with the information we have than trying to apply purple and green to Val and gold to Vel when Valentino is more red/pink and Velvette is more red/purple than anything else.

I have had a few arguments about this recently. I agree with your theory on what the colours of the logos represent based on the two logos we have had so far. I think people just heard a hint that Alastor could be a potential villain and were looking for evidence that he would be the main villain. This has led to people trying to force the idea that the colours of the logo are meant to represent him as the villain of the season, like it was with Vox. Despite Alastor's representative colour being red, and the colour of Season 2's logo being tied to Vox because of his narrative significance, not his position as a villain, this idea has persisted. It has persisted even though Amir already shut down the idea that Alastor would be the main villain of Season 3.

Vivzie has said that Season 3 will be focusing on family, with the Morningstar family being the main focus, but also giving focus to Angel Dust's family. However, I do hope that we get to find out more about the mysteries surrounding Alastor as well. I suspect that when we see the actual logo, we will get more hints about the focus of the season from the symbols on the logo. If people were able to focus more on how the colours of the logo give you a hint about the narrative focus of the season, it would greatly improve their ability to theorise about future seasons.

I love the idea of the logo returning to red for the final season, refocusing the narrative on the hotel and showing how much they have all grown since Season 5 as they fight against Roo.

I feel like the main driving point for Vox's character is to come to terms that Alastor will never love him the same way Val loves him and eventually move on

I agree that moving on will be best for Vox. However, I think the focus should be less on whether Alastor would ever love him the same way Val does, and more on Vox learning to be content with what he has. He has Valentino's love, and that is good enough.

When I went home this past weekend, my sibling surprised me with this shirt! ^_^<3<3<3 They said they got it at a garage sale for only a dollar, but whoever owned it must have had it for a while or never worn it since it features Charlie and Alastor's pilot designs and it's in great shape. ^_^ It was very thoughtful of them and I made sure to thank them for the wonderful gift! ^_^<3<3<3

Life comes at you fast because apparently a new policy at Spindlehorse says their artists can no longer sell fan merch?!?!?!

A bunch of the artists are coming out and canceling orders and taking merch off their stores and I can’t help but feel like this is setting a new precedent that no one is gonna like.

(On the plus side, I’m so fucking glad that I ordered the Alastor Standee from Silentzound the day her store launched and it’s already on the way. Whew!!)

Not to be mean, but we've known eachother for 5-6 years and I absolutely can believe you're still using Tumblr. It just seems like a place where you have fun and seem to belong.

Vox's obession with Alastor is largely his ego but not in the obvous way.

It's that he saw Alastor as a equal to him and being a equal to him makes you a God. We know he thought of himself as a God when he died and his swift rise in power I'm sure this nothing to curve this.

On top of this Alastor represents everything he wants. To be seen as so worthy people will lend you there ears and so powerful that you could force anyone who refuses to listen. What's more God like than that.

So to be seen by a God, known and be excepted as being like him. That is the high of validation. He thought he has that. He thought he had that. The felt both the warmth of being a God and being a Gods most devoted worshiper.

So of corse he lost his mind when Alastor told him he wasn't his "friend". This was God casting out his most devoted follower. This was Vox being denied the life time of work to gain power and authority, to be repected. Alastor was denying him his delusion of being God's most special princess.

Of corse Alastor isn't a God amd neither is Vox and this is a dive bar on a Tuesday.
