My art progress so far
I’m trying to draw a lot more this year. I’ve sorted all my art files by year and this is my progress for 2022 so far:
I’m pretty happy with it considering we’re only a month into the year!

Elden Ring
We’re less than a month away from the release of Elden Ring :)
I’ve been waiting for this game for about 2 years, so I’m incredibly excited to finally be able to play it soon. FROM Software’s environment and enemy design is unmatched...
A song I like
I wanted to share some music I like. I’ve been enjoying a lot of this artist’s material lately. I found out about their music through the Youtube recommendations, and it feels like a stroke of luck because they’re very underrated in my opinion. This Youtube channel is one of the only places on the internet that their music is uploaded, and I’ve actually downloaded a few of their albums myself, just in case the videos get removed. I don’t usually do that because most music is pretty easy to find online.
My music taste is pretty broad, so I may end up sharing some more things I enjoy later on. Going out of my way and challenging myself to find and listen to unique/obscure music is a hobby of mine, and I’m so glad that I ended up finding a real hidden gem this time.
Also: Feel free to sound off in the comments with recommendations/music you like!
My Experience with Celeste
Just a few days ago, I finished a game called Celeste. It’s a difficult indie platformer game that came out a few years ago. I played through the main story last year, but it’s only recently that I decided to come back and finish the rest of its content. And while I didn’t get the appeal of the game when I first played it, I definitely do now.
Overall, I feel like I enjoyed just about every aspect of the game. However, my favorite aspects were the gameplay, graphics, and music. In particular, I think the reason I didn’t enjoy the game as much when I first played it is because it didn’t feel very rewarding until I got to the more difficult parts of the game.
The above screenshot is from the final chapter of the game, chapter 9. It’s by far the longest and most difficult part of Celeste, and it’s what cemented the game as a truly great experience for me. It’s one of the only parts of the game that felt genuinely daunting and intimidating, so it felt much better when I finally reached the end. The new mechanics and techniques that are introduced in this chapter are also immensely satisfying to pull off.
It’s not like the rest of Celeste is easy though. There’s still plenty of challenge to be had throughout the game. Part of me just wishes that those amazing parts of chapter 9 had been implemented throughout. Like I said above though, all aspects of the game are polished and well made, so I’d definitely recommend it if it seems interesting to you.
Scrambled Eggs
Today I made some scrambled eggs (with sriracha sauce). They were delicious!
