The 12 Hour Bedroom: 

So, I've been living in my new place for about a year, hooking it up... we'll just the places that "people" could see. Until today, I did everything but the bedroom. I was squatting in my own home. 

I went out, got some flat white paint which I retouched the bottom pannels and I used Olypmic brand's "Steel City" on the main part of the wall which you could see above. 

The main thing i'm proud of is the giant accent wall. I went to IKEA and picked some curtains that were inexpensive, yet high on personality. Nothing says whimsy like cartoon birds in cartoon trees. I used a boiled water and cornstarch to make a glue that enables you to peel the fabric right off and causes no damage (big deal if you're a renter like me). You can get the recipe HERE. 

After I laid down my IKEA carpet (cause how else would I stay under budget...) I put my bed in bunch of different parts of the room until I was satisfied. I also made myself alittle office area with and old desk I found, as well as a sitting area with a vintage chair and a side table that I made out of a discarded vintage suitcase. 

All I need are curtains, artwork, and a few more finishing touches here and there with paint around the door frame. 

VOILA!! The 12 hour bedroom.

Phase III: Giant Accent Wall. I used one pkg of Ikea curtains (bought 3 just incase) and made glue out of boiling water and cornstarch. This allows the fabric to peel off when you get bored or move and causes no damage if you're a renter. Then I stapled alil bit so it stayed while I glued it, and used a really sharp razor to cut around the door. Phase II progress: retouched the bottom with flat white and did the top with "steel city". I gotta run to the store a paintbrush to get the corners.. Brb. #painting #bedroom #progress

I had an design assignment for school. I could make what ever I wanted. Inspired by Mad Man I came up with a photo shoot in the style of the 60’s with products from this time.

Update: These are the original photo’s pre photoshop. I realy like to photoshop.and this took me a couple of days. (Macbook couldn’t handle the pressure)

I also did the styling and set styling. My friend who is an amazing photographer  made the photo’s

Yesterdays 3am Bake n' Think: Lime Coconut Rum baby bundt cake. I made this with coconut water and fresh squeezed lime juice instead of water or milk. It def brought out the citrus flavors. More coconut came into play making the glaze later. I let it cool, then poured the glaze over it and let it sit in the mold overnight to maximize the potency. #baking #bundt #latenights #bakenthink #coconut #lime #rum #mydiylife (Taken with Instagram)
