She’s fully grown and we switched her puppy chow out for regular dog food. She’s a little overweight but we’re working on it now. She absolutely adores everyone in the house but a little weary on strangers. She’s overprotective and has separation anxiety but again, we’re working on it. We absolutely love her and wouldn’t trade her for the world.

Puppy biting: soooo I’ve only had Jade for a week. She’s worn her harness for literally 7 days before....SNAPPPPP....she bit right through it. Puppy biting is a serious thing. We got her a new one...one that she can’t reach to bite on. It’s supers soft on her and she doesn’t seem to mind it. She usually doesn’t chew on the furniture buttttttttt she does chew on shoes, which I mildly tell her not to and switch it out for something more acceptable. What can I say? 🤷🏽‍♀️ she’s a work in progress

Alright, let’s talk about crate training. It’s hasn’t been going so well. She knows that once it’s bed time, she has to go in there but she expects me to sleep on the couch next to her every single night. Last night I decided to sleep in my bed but that didn’t work too well. She slept until she turned over and realized I wasn’t there and began a fit of crying. My dad and even my brother attempted to console her back to sleep but she only wanted me. At that point I got up and waited till she fell asleep before returning to my bed. She slept the rest of the night without any trouble.

I’ve been nothing but tired all day but this little princess right here keeps sneaking off. Having a puppy always seems all rainbows and butterflies but in reality, it’s pretty hard work. She won’t sleep without me right by her side which makes me worry because soon I have to go back out to work. She’s a good girl but the darkness of nighttime really throws her off. She barely recognizes anyone but me and barks cause she’s afraid. We’re really working on that but it may take some time.

Welcoming my baby girl home!! Her name is Jade and she is a 4-month old Coonhound Bernese mix. She is new to life and having a family so sometimes she does get a little nervous. I adopted my beautiful angel from SaveALifePetRescue in Oviedo, Florida. She’s only been home for around 2 days now and she’s been warming up pretty quickly.
