i never loved pink on frankie but i always loved yellow on them so i repainted their shoes and pulled out the pink streak and filled it in with black. (+switched their accessories)

i was going to make a new jacket altogether but it would almost be too monochrome i feel like??

and i really do like the original jacket and top even though i feared it was still going to be too much pink for me. buti think with the amount of pink i reduced the original outfit does work very well for me after all but i'd appreciate some input.

but either way i really love this doll and i'm so happy to finally have a g3 frankie. with such amazing makeup no less!

thrifted. the hair was just messy but otherwise in excellent condition. i did give her cute twisted pigtails at first but i could not for the life of me get them to be symmetrical so after redoing them several times i just gave up 😩 still looks cute so whatever.

i 3d printed new hands but the only ones i could find have wrists that are slightly too long. but i can't tell if it's fine or if it looks awkward and i've just gotten used to it bc she's been sitting on my desk for a while lol

i made a new top bc the rest of her clothes weren't in great condition and i decided against putting on her leggins again bc redressing this doll is so incredibly finicky and cumbersome i genuinely don't understand how children are supposed to be able to do it.

+ some minor touch ups on scratched faceup

might do sth else with her at some point but for now i'm happy enough

incredible thrift find. the only lol omg doll i've ever really wanted. hair looks messy but seems manageable. most of the outfit pieces are there but i mostly care about the blue outfit anyway. lip paint has a scratch but i'm p sure i can fix that. she's missing a hand but maybe i can substitute it somehow or 3d print a prosthetic or something

she also came with this little film reel picture frame(???) but i can't find what it's from so any info would be appreciated

soooo excited to have finished this. this redesign of clair from g1 was done by @sassmaster-artjay (original post) and it really inspired me to make a doll based on it.

i tried to make it as close to the drawing as i possibly could and it was a very fun challenge! i had an absolute blast

the base doll is a g1 ghoulia. i would've loved to do this with a doll that matched the body type more closely but ghoulia is what i had and her skin tone is a pretty good match. plus i've been wanting to do some kind of alt/goth look with a black lip on this ghoulia anyway

i'm also very happy with the face considering i haven't done this a lot before (i had to do two attempts tho bc the first eyes came out wayy wonky lol)

i've been wanting to make a cropped sweater with baggy sleeves and a top with a ribcage on it for forever so i think this is what really jumpstarted me into action lol

it's not as wide at the torso as it should be but i was so pleased with how it came out that i decided to keep it.

also i was thrilled that i had the materials to make the necklace (the gem was originally a long diamond shape and i just cut off the tips hehe).

the skirt is supposed to be a slip dress but i couldn't figure out how to make it both fitted to the torso and keep it sleek looking, so it actually only goes up to under the boobs but that will be our little secret.

the fabric is giving me a lot of trouble tho bc it really really wants to curl up at the ends.

wig is made with the trusty yarn weft method

yarn hair won't hold that kind of shaggy wave from the design by itself but i decided not to use any product because if i put hair gel or something in there and it ever gets messed up it'll be pretty impossible to fix

the shoes i already had and they were a pretty close match. i just put the chains on. the black stripes on the stockings are also handpainted.

took out the buns bc they looked a bit messy and i thought it was the perfect opportunity to try out the tiny crimping iron i found at the thrift store

The Percht

Perchten are creatures in Austrian and Bavarian (among others) folklore. They roam from December to January and rattle with bells and chains to cast out the evil spirits of winter. They are not the same as Krampus! But in my experience there is a lot of overlap visually.

I am beyond excited about how this guy came out. Started a year ago and he was chilling as a wip for a long time but now i've finished him just in time. Mask and horns are air dry clay, hair is a mix of doll hair (underneath) and yarn wefts on top and for the beard. i kept the sneakers from the base doll (a jimin bts doll lol) and just painted them because this is not really an animal spirit creature - it's a guy in a costume :P

wire in the tail for posing; hands painted and claws added, they kinda get lost in the big sleeves tho haha

perchten masks usually have horns from real animals, often ibex, which was the reference for these

the lighting makes it look like her lip color matches the roses but irl it doesn’t lol

sorry she doesn’t have her hands on in any of these but they’re too hard to get on and off on this particular doll so i didn’t wanna do that between changing outfits 😩

didn’t like the way her hair was rooted in the front so i redid it. i also gave her a full ponytail but i might go back to the half up half down she had

switched their eyes

it took a lot of putting them in (almost) boiling water until i got them back in but they took it surprisingly well. i kind of expected that at least the golden glitter glue eyeshadow on ruby would crack but it held up perfectly despite the intense squeezing of the head lol

if you wanna try this i recommend doing it before any hair styling because you WILL ruin it haha. i’d like to give my sunny different eyes too but there’s no way i’m redoing her hair anytime soon lmao

i pulled out her bangs and rooted those streaks in the front, gave her purple eyes and cut off the big star hoops from her earrings to make them just little studs. choker is from gabriella

Dizzy Descendants

first one is her original outfit, the rest is miscellaneous stuff. i just wanted to try out some things i had lying around (i had high hopes for the overalls bc i’m itching to use them for a doll but i’m not entirely feeling it on this one idk)

another problem is that i have no shoes for her other than the ones she came with lol

i’m gonna leave her in her original outfit for now. she’s still pretty cute
