To all of our lovely members of MI, we hope that youâre doing as well as you possibly can be during these times. Unfortunately, we come bearing potentially bad news with this announcement. After taking time to discuss what would be the best next step for ourselves and for MI, weâve reached the decision that itâs time for us to close the directory. MI has been a large part of our lives for over four years now and itâs given us a lot of joy, helped us to make a lot of new friends, and we will forever cherish the memories of our time spent here. The muses that exist because of MI will continue to be some of our most beloved and important ones, but the roleplay itself feels like it has run its course.
We want to reassure everyone that this isnât a decision made solely because of any lack of activity. There are several contributing factors to our choice, and the most dominant one being that it doesnât personally feel right for us admins. For the last six months, or perhaps even longer, running the rp has felt almost like a weekly chore opposed to something that we looked forward to, and both of our moods and our musesâ activities suffered for it. We feel like we havenât been able to give the members everything that they deserve as a result of our lack of motivation and enthusiasm, and for that we apologize. However, on top of that, with current circumstances in real life and everything thatâs going on around the world, it also doesnât feel right to be running a directory with a theme and concept such as MIâs.
We deeply apologize to those of you that still consistently posted and deeply cared about MI, as well as your muses here, and we hope that you can continue to love and write for them despite the directory officially closing. We are very honored to have had the chance to write for and with you all, and we hope the best for everyone. We will always love MI and everyone thatâs ever been a part of it, but with a heavy heart, this is goodbye. â„
