I ended up finishing the Brain Bowl competition and being the 4th highest overall scorer and getting a $10 Amazon gift card so that was pretty cool! I then ended up going to a friends Birthday Party and got pretty tipsy while playing this game called Quelf. If you're not an outgoing person never play this game. The night turned kind of sour after that since my car got towed at like 3 in the morning so I ended up just going to bed at my friend's house since I didn't want to deal with it

Waking up in the early morning on a Friday isn't always the best but I did play a bunch of trivia crack and start reading Hamlet. I'm currently on a brain bowl trip in a different town but my parents came to watch me play so that's a huge plus, this is probably my 5th or 6th tournament but the first one that they've come to. And now I'm going to bed way too late because I have to participate in the rest of the tournament tomorrow! Wish me luck

After being through my longest day out of the week I realize that my course load sucks. Taking Calculus 3 and Differential Equations followed by Physics 2 is going to be a pain but thankfully I have a considerable break between Physics and my Humanities class which I'm taking at night. So basically I schooled all day long, I ended up making baklava for some classmates so that was a plus since I want to start cooking more and getting more adept. Nothing too major happened today, thankfully.

Being the first day of classes we didn't have too many people come into the tutoring center. I did however hear a girl sneeze and say "bless me" so that was a first. I learned that Boring, Oregon is a place and I think I'm destined to live there.

Today I went in early to receive training at the tutoring center I work at on my school campus. Long story short I really didn't do a whole lot today besides correcting my sleep cycle, got trained, learned I might have the opportunity to go to New York in May, so that was huge. I've never been there before and I might get to go because my boss loves me. After training I hung out with a couple of friends and got to pet some dogs so that was cool. I went to Brain Bowl practice and learned how much I had forgotten since I've been on break. After practice I went for a run and kind of just prepared myself for school starting back up. Since school is starting tomorrow I should have some great stories about different things that I learn or that I teach other people since I work in the tutoring center. Everybody have a great semester!

Today I worked in front of my schools Financial Aid office for a solid 6 hours doing mindless crap. If you ever get mad at your schools administration and think that they take too long or something like that be warned, they are thinking the exact same thing about you. It's amazing to me how many people waited two days before classes to even apply to go to school, let alone register for classes. Definitely taking away that there are always two sides to a story but people generally think the same no matter which side they are on.

Today I ate lunch with my crush, the thing I really like about her is that our sense of humors match up really well, just not confident enough to tell her that face to face yet. I ended up meeting a couple of other people and started planning a trip with my family to Western Europe where we will hopefully spend next winter break.

Today my future roommates got a cat which means I'm going to have a cat when I move back into town! I also decided to go back to being a vegetarian today for enhanced weight loss probabilities. I think I learned that I need some form of accountability at all times or nothing is going to get done.

Today I caught up with a friend from middle school and we geeked out about brain bowl and learning. After sitting in a coffee shop for hours we ended up basically realizing our shared love of baking and started swapping food bloggers. If you really love something it may be worth keeping it as a hobby so you dont suck the fun out of it

Went to the park with a very good friend and we laughed as this kid narrated his own football pass to his friend who failed to catch it. We talked about some pretty cool things, I kind of learned that I actually care about the interior design of my own home and that I can no longer be lazy about what my room looks like. It's important to have new years resolutions.

the beginning

I figured I would start a year long project so I can look back and retell my stories over and over again. I'm going to try and make each post positive and possibly be about what I took from each day. So follow along if you would like, and submit your opinions or a synopsis of your day
