I have heard these play in recordings (mostly in the backgrounds of history documentaries) but never knew what the instrument was. Nifty!

The sound actually reminds me a lot of a bagpipe, but strings rather than wind, of course.

This was my first exposure to a hurdy-gurdy (and this one is quite a lot simpler), and this guy is playing a Russian folk tune. Definitely give it a listen – I bought the song on iTunes years ago and still listen to it once in a while!

You know what’s interesting about these videos is how generous he’s being with his time. Like you see the run time for this video is 18 seconds, but there’s definite audible gaps between each new scene. He doesn’t jump straight from one line and blurring it with the next. And even with those gaps between lines this is uncomfortably short.

This was set in a European stylized location, and be wasnt a main character. They didn't exclude races in this film, and hired him because they thought he was the best for the role. Some films are lacking in the poc department, but this seems to be reaching a bit.

The “Male Pill”

I was scrolling down my facebook news feed, when I saw an article about the new male pill. I was at first excited about the concept, as it now give both the genders access to a contraceptive pill, giving responsibility to both persons when not using a condom. I read the article to find something quite concerning, instead of it just being a pill, its an injection of a gel, straight to a very unpleasant area. It lasts roughly 10 years, and can reversed by an injection  to the same place to dissolve the gel. With most FB articles, people read the Title and make judgement before actually reading it, if they do at all. If it was just a pill, id probably be in full favor, but surely something like that could have same ill affects. You’ll tend to find most males will not appreciate having a needle inserted down there. I found mostly women thought it was a great idea, but unfortunately as I was born with the wrong parts, fully understand that this can be seen as a thing of nightmares. If it was in actually in pill form, like the female version, it'd be alot more inviting, and they would feel a lot more comfortable with it. Whats your opinion on this?
