So we all agreed to wait until later to celebrate our birthdays....

But I broke that promise when I went out yesterday and bought Mum, her favourite tea and the tea set she’s had her eye on for like a year, and Hannah, the makeup palette she’s been talking about for months and a brand new handbag.

So I wake up today to find this familiar shaped box on my bed.

They’ve been hoarding all this stuff for months while telling me that Cheritz was out of stock!!?!

Good News! (Finally)

So the last few months have been pretty shitty. I managed to fail a subject, the landlord increased our rent and now mum is at risk of losing her job because of privatisation and funding cuts. During this time my University asked me to chose the country I would like to major and spend a year living in. After seeing over a hundred people signing up for Japan, I was utterly convinced there was no point in trying but decided to put my name down anyway. A few hours later we were all called back and told that they only had 35 spots available and that we should all be prepared to go with our backups. I have to be honest; I had no hope whatsoever at this point- everything was falling apart around me. So I resigned myself into believing that this would not work out for me. My lifelong dream was going to slip through my fingers and there was nothing I could do about it. So I pushed it to the back of my mind and told myself not to think about it any longer. That was until I got a call from my uni support worker today who told me to check my emails. I half heartly opened my uni emails, mentally preparing for the worst possible scenario.

To say I screamed the house down would be a gross underestimate. Officially the best pre-birthday present ever <3
