I'm tired...my meds aren't working so I think I'll get off before my mood heads down south. Talk to you guys later.I might lurk around but I'm not sure.
"..."
Kokuto rushes over to Ada and pulls her into a hug, "Please don't cry Ada..."
She shuddered at the hug, both wanting to pull away and snuggle closer. But she couldn't hear him. Not completely. Her mind was elsewhere and the female gave out a pained cry. Her throat burned. Why did it burn. "Nii-san...Nii-san!" Ada sobbed shaking.
Her look when she wants to eat
This went from bad to worse to horrible faster than he could blink. Damn. “Yes, I was the one that killed you… If it eases you at all, I hadn’t intended to. Your brother, Kokuto, charged at me after I refused to leave the building you two were staying in… I was terrified of him… I killed you of of fear for my own life, but I still ended up losing that too. Kokuto murdered me after you fell… 17 stabs to the torso, each one meant to make me bleed to death instead of instantly killing me…” Still think Kokuto is a nice guy, Ada?
She couldn't even hear him very well anymore. Her hands shakily made there way to her ears covering them. She let out a small cry, it sounding almost as if she was in pain. She had just been 9 maybe 10 years old when he killed her. Now her mind was shutting down so only that moment was replaying. Her body shook as more tears spilled. Ada curled into a ball letting out another cry. "N-Nii-san...Nii-san!!"
"…I was the one that killed you…I watched you fall…" His mind continued to scramble, he just couldn’t comprehend her still being alive. He had cut her throat…he still remembered that moment clearly, and his own murder by Kokuto a few moments later. "I’m afraid I won’t help you find him. It would be dangerous for me to run into him."
Almost within moments her smile completely fell, eyes widened and her hands dropped to her side. "W...what...?" Breathing became shallow her ears ringing. The fuzziness that had shielded her from her killer cleared. "Yo-u...?" She was becoming increasingly pale as each second passed. Ada felt her own legs give out from under her. "Wh-y?" Tears spilled down her face as she started to go into a mental breakdown. Her mind wasn't registering this so it was breaking. Or at least it felt like it. "Ah-"
None. “That’s impossible…You should be dead…” Shure mumbled to himself, completely confused about her being here. “How are you alive! I thought I-“
Ada's smile slipped from her face in confusion. Did this guy know about her previous life? Something she herself was still piecing together. "...Did you know me in that life? I don't remember much from it..." She had caught his sentence being cut off and an unease feeling settled in the pit of her stomach. She forced her smile back on. "Anyways do you know where I can find him? For some reason he doesn't like me wandering around."
"…Did you say Kokuto?" That couldn’t be possible. She was supposed to be dead, he remembered killing her himself. "What does he look like?" Maybe it was another guy called Kokuto.
What other guys named Kokuto in hell do you know Shuren? "Um...I know he keeps his face semi bandaged..." She blinked innocently. "Why? Does it ring any bells?"

Kokuto lightly ruffled her hair, “I knew you could do it, I was just teasing you.” He flipped a few more pages into the children’s book so they were looking at multiplication equations. “Think you can solve these?” It started out simple, as usual. 2 x 2 and 0 x 5, he knew she could do those as well. It would take a little more thought but it was still easy. On the next page was something a little more difficult, 3 x 4 and 3 x 6. “Ask me if you want help, okay~?”
Kokuto let go of the book and decided to let her flip through and answer problems as she pleased. Of course he’d check to see if Ada was correct, but she was curious and he’d let her solve.
Her question caught him off guard because by no means did he get anything legally. Quick, think of a lie. “A lady from a church was kind enough to give them to me. Don’t you think it was nice of her?” Good enough.
Ada nodded and she seemed satisfied with that answer and went back to the book. Gently taking it from him she quietly voiced the answers until she got to harder ones. A minute passed and she tilted her head to one side. One finger tapped over one of the problems.
"Nii-san....what's this one?" Her finger was over 6x5. "It's one of the five mul-...mul...multi....ples right? So it ends in 5 or 0?"
It confused her and she couldn't count that high on her fingers. Not only that she didn't want Kokuto to completely be out of it, even though she probably could figure it out on her own. She tapped the page again in thought trying to process an answer. Five...ten...fifteen...but those are the three multiples of five.
Ada clutched the book looking back up at him. "Nii-san I can't figure it out..."
She pouted innocently before politely asking for his help again. "Please help me?" She looked back down at the book becoming upset she couldn't figure it out. This was an easy book so shouldn't she be able to figure out the problems. She couldn't figure out the problems after this one either. She had already checked.
She came here often? Again, very odd. “let me know who he is and I might help you find him.”
Ada smiled brightly. "Hm...Nii-san's name is Kokuto!" One could easily tell she trusted too easily. As well as had some mental screws slightly loose. "Do you know him?"
"…Looking for someone around here is a terrible idea, girl…" She looks awfully familiar. Hmmm… "Is this brother of yours a Sinner?"
"Yeah he is!" Ada piped up. "I come see him whenever I have free time...M-maybe you know him!"
"…" A young girl in Hell? Odd.
"...!" Didn't notice the other there. "Hello."
"I'm looking for my brother...U-um..."
"Hm?"

Kokuto grinned, resting his head over hers. “And I couldn’t have asked for a better sister…~” Even though her manners could use a little work. He noticed her tugging at the book and let her have it, even though she should have asked nicely. “Reading time it is, just ask for the book next time, Ada.” Kokuto smiled anyway at her enthusiasm to learn. He wished he could get her a much better education, at a real school, but their life wasn’t so fortunate. Because of me…
The teen grimaced a moment, but quickly wiped the frown away so he wouldn’t ruin Ada’s cheery mood. “That’s really good, Ada. You’re very close. It’s Math-e-mat-ics and Be-gin-ners,” Kokuto made sure to point to the words and each syllable as he spoke so his sister could understand better. After the quick lesson, he opened the cover of the book and flipped a page so they could start. As he expected, the beginning was easy addition. 1+1 and 1+3, that sort of thing. Kokuto knew Ada could calculate that easily, but review never hurt.
Kokuto chuckled, tapping the equations on the first page. “Think you can solve these very hard problems, Ada~?” His voice was playfully sarcastic, hoping she’d play along and have some fun with the kindergarten math. Maybe they’d hit some multiplication farther in the book, which is what he wanted to touch on.
A smile pulled once again at her lips and she repeated the words he pronounced once before giggling. On the first page he turned to she blinked.
"Of course I can Nii-san!" She answered.
Simple problems, and very easy to do. She knew he was just playing with her.
"The first problem equals 2, the second problem equals 4." She held up the equal amount of fingers to him.
"This is easy!" She giggled. "Nii-san needs to find something harder...please!"
Ada smiled happily and continued to relax against him. She hummed happily letting her fingers lightly rest on one of the pages. It was smooth under her skin.
"Nii-san...Where'd you get the books anyway?" Her curiosity peaked once more. She wondered where he got them. Didn't they have no money? Big eyes blinked up at her brother as she tilted her head back to look at him.
