New from Creation Space, voting. I like this one. I hope they keep it
So is anyone here over the age of ten on howrse.com or am I a childish, life-wasting scumbucket
I’m sorry, I got addicted, okay?!
Adult male player here.
Snap shot of Rosetta right now. I wish I had done a couple of these as I went. This is the first time Ive made a concerted effort do do everything I could right at least as far as I know how to. Using BMIs earned in the promos. I’m pretty excited about her.
My first high skilled horse
Rosetta, a KWPN foal I purchased and have been training. I gave her wings a Poseidon pack, water of youth and I’m hopeful will be able to see Rosette competitions.
She is nearly fully Blupped at 9 years 4 months, the training and comps are done, she just needs to age a bit more to 100% Blup. meanwhile I’m working on her lower skills but shes really close.
Genetic Potential 4114.38, current skills 3905.17 with about 300 skills to gain in trot, gallop and stamina, maybe a few more still in the comps.
My new US Avatar (logo), a beautiful trotting horse.
US Store prices for comparison, April 22nd 2015
April 22nd International prices are falling on all tack except bonus tack. If you’re making tack to sell you better have your own leather and hopefully some Iron lying around because with prices continuing to fall your profits are shrinking and it may not be cost effective to produce tack now.
For example if you have to buy the leather and the iron it costs 1000 equus to make 10 classical 1 star bridles, 10 of them resale at 825 equus netting you a 125 equus loss. Yikes. Western on the otherhand you still stand to spend 1000 but gross 1335, net profit of 335 equus.
Greenhouse Production
So I was trying to figure out what is the best thing to plant in my new large green house. I compared the costs to grow each crop, the days to produce and averaged it out with the amount of "daily" profit, The fodder makes the most money compared to oats, flax, wheat and carrots. So from now on I think I'll just grow and sell fodder. Plus the price is stable. To some degree this will help me decide what to plant in meadows as well depending on seasonal choices.
For comparison, here is the International store for April 16 2015. I don’t know if prices fluctuate throughout the day or if they just change daily at the game update time. But prices appear to be falling on products internationally as well.
US store prices are falling which means profits on sales of wares produced in the workshops are falling as well. I’m probably going to recommend focusing on short term builds to resell quickly.
EC Box enhancements
Thinking about making and selling showers or water troughs for profit? Don’t.
As of today, 4/16/2015 on the US server:
Showers cost 50,000 e to produce 2, or 25,000 each. The retail price in the store is 40,236 e for one. It’s obviously more cost effective to build your showers, but it’s not profitable to build them to sell, since their resale price is half of 40,236 e or 20,118 e. In other words you'll loose 4,882 equus making and reselling showers.
Water troughs are the same situation. They cost 15,000 equus to produce in the workshop but only sell for 14,347 e, a 653 equus loss.
EC Workshop profitability
I've been noticing that making 3 star saddles doesn't seem to be worthwhile right now. I’m selling them to the store and not profiting. Since then I've been trying to establish what is the most profitable activity to use my workshop for. I’m currently making water troughs for my US EC. But for my international EC i’m making 1 star saddles. They take 12 hours and if I buy the materials , minus costs, and resell them at today’s prices (half the purchase price in the store) then I stand to make 1935 on 10 saddles.
It costs 2500 equus to make 10 saddles, they currently retail 887 e a piece and multiplied by 10 that's 8870 e, If I sell 10 then i get half of that or 4435 e, the profit is 1935 e. which averages out to 161.25 equus per hour. So as of today 4/15/2015 the most profitable activity is making 1 star saddles. I’ll try comparing again as prices fluctuate.
