Good morning! 👌😎 Repost @dutchbird757 Isn’t it beautiful? 😳 Waiting for the sunrise enroute from Dubai 🇦🇪 to Kathmandu.🇳🇵 RNP AR approach into Kathmandu. 🙏🏼👍🏼 It’s amazing how gentile and precise it is. The visibility was close to the limit and we would probably have had to divert if we had done the ‘old & straight-in’ VOR approach. So instant payoff! The RNP AR (AR = Authorization Required) approach is basically a curved approach around the mountains (see last 📸) with stricter limits on aircraft, airline and crews with approvals required from both the UAE and Nepalese regulators.
