Having a boyfriend with 24/7 clear skin is the real struggle.
I’m honestly so afraid he’ll stop liking me if I start breaking out again like I used to.

Having a boyfriend with 24/7 clear skin is the real struggle.
I’m honestly so afraid he’ll stop liking me if I start breaking out again like I used to.
Basically hi!
I’ve been on hiatus for more than a year now and I honestly don’t even know how that happened...oh well, I’m sorry.
Last time I was here I was updating you on the birth control I’m taking. And it’s honestly been amazing, it’s been working great for me.
I would say I have clear skin (with a lot of freckles as you can see on the photo...summer happened lol) and I’m very pleased with how I look now.
The only thing that is hard for me is knowing that when I eventually get off birth control (I’ve been on it for almost 2 years, and I don’t plan on being on it more than 5 years) I’m probably going to get the acne back...and that makes me really depressed and anxious. I’ve heard a lot of people say that their acne returned after they stopped birth control, if anyone has any experience going off it with severe acne, please let me know. So yeah, that sucks. Maybe I’ll go on accutane before I decide to go off my pill.
I’ve just gotten so used to clear skin it honestly terrifies me going back to my normal self..
BTW. sorry for my black looking nose in the last picture, I had a charcoal nose strip on and it didn’t wash out properly.
why?? is?? birth?? control?? not?? working??
hey just wondering what kind of food you normally eat? i have a tonnn of acne. i won a customized vegan email plan for acne. they're still making it right now. so i haven't started. its for 6 weeks and i think it will cure my skin! just wondering what you eat?
Heyyy c:
I am pescetarian, so I only eat fish but on a daily basis I eat almost only vegan food.
i'm dealing with acne for 4 years too and it gets worse because i skip the anti baby pill 6 months ago .. i think about splitting up with my boyfriend because i feel damn ugly 😭😭😭 i need some help :(
Aw no dear, don't let your acne make you feel 'ugly'. At the end of the day, your boyfriend doesn't care that you have acne, believe me. Honestly, I promise it will get better. Just hang in there! x
Hi! I also use adapalene and clindamycin, I'm just wondering if my acne will get worse before it gets better? I started using it on April then I gave up bc my face was horrible, my self esteem was so low. Might use them again bc its summer
Hey:) clindamycin usually does that; while I was using clindamycin together with adapalene it worked wonders for like 6 months but then it stopped working all of a sudden and my face got really really bad. Good luck! :)
shoutout to people with acne
to people who have acne scars
people who get stressed whenever they get even the smallest pimple
those who think their spots make them any less perfect
people with acne on their face
people with acne anywhere less visible and the ones who are scared of intimacy because of this
people who pick at their spots
people who don’t mind them
people who apply creams and remedies and hate the fuck out of their acne
you’re all beautiful anyway
Shoutout to the ugly ducklings. To the girls who never had a boyfriend in high school and never got asked to dances and had to watch their friends date their crushes. To the girls who got made fun of for their big noses or their flat chest or their toothpick bodies. To the girls who, when they finally got noticed by guys in college, got used for their bodies over and over. To the girls who now can’t trust a guy who genuinely claims to care about them because they’ve been mind fucked for so many years.
Shoutout to you girls. We’ll make it. ❤
To the anon on accutane asking about stopping. Do not do that. You will mess up your progress. You have to take it every day possible. I skipped like two days once because of a rash but that was it. 3 weeks is too long for good results to happen
To anon: Don't take a break from accutane without consulting your doctor!!! It works by building up in your system so taking that long of a break might make you have to stay on it longer! And for three weeks, even with out taking it, your skin will still be just as dry and sensitive since it's still in you! But if you really want a break ask your Derm, they know better than anyone else! Good luck!
Is it okay to take a break (3 weeks) from accutane if I'm going on a vacation?
I'm not really sure, as I've never taken Accutane, it's best to consult your dermatologist on that :)
Explaining Accutane side effects
Me at home: OH MY GOD IM DYING IS THIS NORMAL!?! THIS CAN NOT BE NORMAL MY STOMACH HURTS SO BAD! SOMONE STABBED ME IN THE BACK!! I SWEAR! I'm going to die from this.
Me at the doctors office: Yeah, everything is going pretty smooth. Some minor back pain and stomach cramping here and there nothing too serious I don't think.
Skin update nr. 9
Sorry for not posting in such a long time, I’ve had a rough couple of days because of school.
Anyways, onto my skin update. I’ve been getting a lot of compliments recently, saying how clear my skin looks, which makes me immensely happy!!! It’s definitely not clear but it’s mostly just scars and a ton of redness.I also haven’t had a bad breakout in a good while, which is awesome.
I still, after two months, haven’t gotten my prescription of Duac Gel (Benzaclin). I’ll be testing out Aknemycin though (Erythromycin and tretinoin) which is supposed to be good, so i’ll let you know how that goes. As for my current skin regime, I’m still using 5% benzoyl peroxide prescription cream. It makes my skin really dry and flaky so I use a moisturizing cream from the pharmacy called Excipial (it has urea) which is also great.
I hope you all are having an awesome day! c:
Oh my gosh. I just wanna say, you're FLIPPIN BEAUTIFUL. Just like wow! I know it's hard to accept compliments sometimes, but please believe me. I was reading your posts and my heart truly ached when I saw your selfies, because I was like "what the hell!! She's stunning! I wish she could know that." I'm not saying despite your acne, you're beautiful. I'm saying, you. Are. Beautiful. All of you. Praying for you. Xx
oh wow thanks!!<3
i was reading this book on wattpad the other day and at one point it described one kid that had cystic acne. i decided to look at the comments and half of them were people stating how disgusting that was.
it amazes me how society is fighting so hard to remove racism, fat shaming, … but no one says anything about people with acne. do you know how life ruining it can be?
I have been struggling with acne for about three years. I have tried almost every face wash brand out there and have seen multiple beauticians and doctors, however it seems to be uncontrollable. I am learning every day to accept my flaws and see myself as even more beautiful than before. In an attempt to help teach myself, and hopefully others as well, to accept flaws, I have created some images. I wanted to create photographs that show positive body image in a relatable and also creative way.
My love for outer-space had sparked an idea. Star constellation maps are beautiful and show the names and locations of some of the coolest formations in the sky. In the photos I put together, I connected my acne into a few sets of my very own constellations. Each cluster of acne on my face represents a different aspect of teenage life that can cause a break-out. Hopefully these photographs will inspire you to accept your flaws and see yourself as truly a beautiful person, no matter how many pimples appear on your skin.
Each “constellation” or, cluster of acne, has a name. The names are typical things that can cause acne to develop on your body. You can better yourself and your life by trying hard to eliminate these typical things, and create an even more beautiful version of yourself. Don’t forget to love who you are every day.
I've been on accutane for 3 months: the first month I had dry skin, nose bleeds, dry eyes, dry lips; the second only dry skin. Two weeks ago I had my dosage doubled to 40mg-since I've had muscle pain, and headaches lasting a few hours. The headaches have decreased and the muscle pain is beginning to so I'm hoping they'll follow the lead of previous side effects disappearing once my body has adjusted, if not I'll be back on 20mg. I'm 100% happier, my skin is great so for me accutane is worth it.
that's awesome! :)
