I don’t think Cassidy is Kevin’s fiancée. Based on Cassidy’s personality and experiences, I doubt she would jump into an engagement and pregancy in nine or eight months, specially because they both have struggled with alcoholism and they together are sober for just a few months. And not to mention she already has a son who lives in Bradford, so moving to Bethlehem would mean seeing less of her son. And Cassidy doesn’t give me the impression that she wants another child. I don’t even know if it would be good to get pregnant at her age, since she looks like she’s in her late 30s or early 40s.

However, I DO SEE Kevin reaching out to her or maybe even visiting her when he’s in PA. And the show might tease something between the both of them, only to show us who his real fiancée on the end of the episode. The most likely contenders to me are Madison or a character yet to be introduced (and trust me, I’ve read a lot of interviews and I’m rewatching episodes to collect more clues, so I have reasons to say that).

Honestly This is Us has gotten me so many times with their time jumps, you would think I wouldn’t fall for them anymore, but nope they still get me

Idk if I'm the last person to realize this or maybe just no one has mentioned it.. But I just realized the two future scenes we have been shown (adult-baby-Jack and Rebecca-in-bed) have to be two different periods in time. In the Rebecca-in-bed future, Kevin's kid looks tween-aged. And since Kevin's fiancee is pregnant in just 9 months, that puts baby Jack and Kevin's kid fairly close in age (less than 2 years apart). So in the Rebecca-in-bed scene baby Jack is probably around 15-16 or so, and therefore not the adult baby-Jack we've seen already. This might not be important but it just dawned on me today we are seeing two fairly large time jumps and not just one 🤷‍♀️.

(BUT an explanation could also be Kevin has more than one kid and his kid that we've already seen in the Rebecca-in-bed scene is not the eldest/the one his fiancee is currently pregnant with).

Honestly for Kevin to go through such a wide range of relationships only to go back to Sophie for the hundredth time is kinda disappointing. I really wish I could say I like Sophie but I've always just felt indifferent to her? And like she was engaged so it's kind of frustrating to see the writers wrap up ties with Sophie again and again for them to just be like just kidding she's back! I think if they were going to get back together again they should have done it sooner or broken them up fewer times because since they've split so many times makes you wonder how they'll last.

Maybe she's calling to invite Kevin to her wedding 😂. Jk but also one plus of them getting back together I guess is they'll be able to do a a ton of parallels between present day and teen Kevin/Sophie. But really if they wanted to they could do that with any of Kevin's relationships or even with him single.

If it does end up being Sophie another plus is that we finally can stop with the Kevin's love life storylines lol. I was thinking that after this episode, Randall really does have the best storylines. I feel like he's been developed the most and has had the largest range of storylines. Meanwhile Kevin and Kate especially are stuck in this loop that won't let them do anything outside of a handful of specific conflicts. Like for Kate she's really been reduced to her weight and marriage.
