strippers gotta stop attaching our worth to the money we make. you are not what you come home with every night. the money we make isn’t a symbol of our value. society (and other strippers and sex workers) tells us that if we aren’t making over $500 a night, we are just broke, lame hoes and shouldn’t be dancing because it’s not worth it. that’s just wrong and not true. you know how many times i’ve held myself back from going into work because i didn’t think i’d be able to make my goal (because if i didn’t make my goal, it meant something about my value as a person)? this mentality has given me anxiety, it’s given me literal nightmares, it’s added to my depression and it’s caused me to make LESS money because i’m so worried about not making enough in other peoples’ eyes. it’s good to have high goals, believe me, i love making and setting goals for myself and beating them, it’s a rush, and it’s fun. just don’t attach your worth as a person to those goals, don’t let a bad night or two get you down. it’s unhealthy, it’s self-hating, and it’s a tactic used to shame sex workers for choosing the jobs we choose.

hello yes sex workers can have monogamous relationships sex work is not cheating on a partner its literally a job they dont have intimate relationships with their clients they are paid its like any other job stop assuming sex workers are not committed or not loyal to their partners thank u this has been a psa
