Say hello to Leona!!

One of my beloved LoZ OCs :)

She is Link and Mipha’s daughter, and she’s from the Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity era

More about her below the cut!

Leona and her brother (I will post his design another time!) are adopted. In this AU of mine, a couple of years after the events of AoC and Link and Mipha’s wedding, Link and Mipha decided they wanted kids. My headcanon is that the chances of them being able to have biological kids is very unlikely. So they prayed to Hylia asking if she’d help them.

And then Hylia sent Mipha and Link Leona and her brother (probably via a stork blue-winged heron or something because why not?? I think I’m so funny for this)

And something neat about Leona~ even though she is Hylian, she has zora eyes! (really there’s not much difference between the eyes that I’ve noticed except for the fact that zora irises and pupils are taller than hylians’ but still)

Not only that, but they’re her mom’s eyes :)

same kind of thing happened with her brother, even though he’s a Zora, he’s got Hylian eyes that look exactly like his dad’s

And a little more about her ~

She is very adventurous and wants to explore all of Hyrule someday, but her parents don’t let her go out on her own so most of the time she just hangs out in Zora’s Domain.

She studies maps in her free time and probably has all of Hyrule’s geography memorized.

She reeeeeally loves wildberry crepes, and she often cooks meals with her dad :)

She has a cool weapon (that I am struggling to draw correctly so I unfortunately don’t have a picture!) and it’s like a sword and a spear combined, so she learns to fight from both of her parents in both of their styles!

She also has a blupee companion!! He has a little bandana that he wears and he is very cute

Over her pink dress, she wears a tunic that looks a lot like Link’s tunic that was made by Zelda. This is because Zelda also made Leona her tunic! Leona has looked up to all of the champions and the princess ever since she was really young, and wanted to be one of them, so Zelda made the tunic for her as a gift and it’s Leona’s favorite thing to wear!!

She typically likes to wear more casual Hylian clothing, but she does wear some Zora made jewelry as well!

And that’s all for now~ there’s more to say about this AU story and about Leona but I need to finalize the other characters’ designs and stories first! (ughhhhhh I should have waited till they were all finished and THEN posted about all of my characters together but I don’t have the patience for that)

Echoes of Wisdom Zelda because I LOVE HER

Yet another miphlink drawing idea that I had! I did something like this for two of my tragic OCs so now… miphlink.

(It’s a WIP that I didn’t have the brainpower to finish yet… so it’s just a silly colorful scribble but I still really like it and want to share it!)

I wanted do do one that’s like a mirror of them in different times, one pre-calamity (also possibly before they became champions) where they’re happy and more carefree :) there’s no impending threat of Ganon so they are able to just be cute together!

And the other is during BotW, while Mipha’s Grace is being used. Link is all beat up and injured and Mipha’s sad because she remembers when she would hold him like this in the past, but under happier circumstances.

Hey wait…

New headcanon unlocked!!

This is now my reasoning for why Link can sleep in Zelda’s bed in TotK (Well, one of the reasons, but this one’s the funniest!!)

This silly interaction totally happened!! I also think it’s sweet that Zelda and her father are both very generous people :)

Especially since they’re both royalty and probably are used to being able to share lots of their things, even after the calamity and having all their wealth and things taken from them, they will still share what they have with people who might need it! (Idk, maybe that’s just me but I love them very much)

It’s Mipha and Link from my miphlink x Tangled AU idea! I love them very much 💕💕

And a little ramble about their designs…

For Mipha I made her fins and her head tail longer (kind of like how Rapunzel’s hair is long but also it’s to show how she grew a bit during the 100 years that Waterblight held her captive). And I modified the Rapunzel dress to something that would fit Mipha’s Zora body~ so the corset is longer for her long torso and has cuts in it for her gills! And her skirt is shorter for her shorter legs, and I made her fins on her hips longer so they’re like a part of her skirt.

For Link I didn’t do too much but replace his Champion’s Tunic with a vest like Eugene’s, but I made it to be the Champion’s blue and gave it a little sword design in white like his tunic. His arm accessories are basically the same as normal and so are his pants and boots, but I added the little spats that Eugene has on his boots. And the belts Link has around his waist are meant to look more like the ones Eugene has on his waist rather than the belts Link normally has. And I tried to make Link’s hair a little more flowy like Eugene’s, but it didn’t turn out quite how I envisioned in this drawing. (I feel like I could’ve done more with Link’s design, so maybe I’ll add more stuff to his outfit later!)

Ok so this might be a stupid idea but…

✨miphlink x Tangled AU✨

I keep daydreaming about it so now I’m making it a thing :)

Basically it’s an AU idea that I had that is kind of a mash up of the Disney movie Tangled and the quest line of saving Zora’s Domain in BotW!!

The stories actually fit together pretty well! And the characters do too in my opinion!!

Imma just ramble about the whole thing below the cut…

So I’ve more or less decided who all the characters will be

Rapunzel = Mipha

Eugene = Link

Pascal = a hot footed frog :)

Mother Gothel = Waterblight Ganon

Hook Hand = Master Kohga (I gave him a vicious sickle as his hook hand!! I was so proud of myself for coming up with that)

Rapunzel’s parents = King Dorephan and Sidon (because as far as I’m aware they’re the only living family that Mipha has in BotW)

Maximus = prolly just gonna be Epona (I haven’t fully decided yet)

And that’s my idea for the characters as of now!!

And yes Link will absolutely be using the smolder on Mipha :D (it won’t work on her tho)

And story wise, basically Waterblight Ganon is keeping Mipha hostage in Vah Ruta to use her healing powers (like Mother Gothel did with Rapunzel), probably to heal monster armies or something, maybe it could somehow explain monster resurrection during the blood moon, I haven’t fully decided. And Waterblight erased Mipha’s memories and took on a different form that looks kinda like Mother Gothel but made of malice and with red hair!

So Mipha is basically just living life in Vah Ruta for 100 years. But once a year when looking out of a window she notices a strange blue light shining from some place (likely somewhere in the mountains near the Domain) and she wants to go there to check it out but Waterblight says the world is dangerous and she can’t. (Like Rapunzel wanting to see the lanterns and Mother Gothel scaring her into staying)

But then Link wakes up from the shrine of resurrection, makes his way to Zora’s Domain, and is asked to retrieve something important from Vah Ruta. I’m thinking it might be her tiara (so unlike how in Tangled, Eugene is stealing Rapunzel’s tiara from the royal family, Link would be retrieving Mipha’s tiara for the Zora royal family). So he goes to do that, finds it hidden somewhere (Waterblight would have hidden it from Mipha because it might’ve triggered her memories) and Mipha is freaked out because she sees him and has no idea who he is, so she knocks him out. Link wakes up, she makes a deal with him to take her to see the lights, in exchange she will give him the tiara.

And since both Mipha and Link lost their memories from before the calamity, they’re both sillier, more lighthearted versions of themselves (which is shown for Link in BotW by some of Link’s goofy dialogue options). Because of this, their personalities are very similar to Rapunzel and Eugene’s. So Mipha is more energetic and outgoing, and Link is sarcastic and extra goofy.

And through their little adventure together they recover some of their memories of each other little by little.

And eventually they will get to the place the strange blue light is from. And that place is the location of a festival! (Possibly the Champion Festival mentioned in BotW?) And the blue light is light from luminous stones that people have brought with them for the festival (haven’t decided what they all do with the stones yet). And then the story takes some inspiration from the side quest in HWAoC where Link thinks Mipha looks more beautiful than ever under the light of the luminous stones, because then they have a whole beaUTIFUL MOMENT LIKE THE LANTERN SCENE IN TANGLED BUT WITH LUMINOUS STONES AAAAAAAAAAA

I’m so normal about miphlink AND Tangled :)

And yeah that’s all I’m gonna write about it for now, I should figure out more about the story and things before I really get into it, but I think it’d be fun to maybe make this into a comic at some point? Who knows!

I like to imagine that sometimes when Mipha’s Grace is used in BotW that Link’s spirit will use it as an opportunity to say hi to her

Link lost his memory of her obviously, but I think that there’s still a part of him in his spirit that remembers her and wants her to know he misses her

And I really am so proud of this drawing, I’ve had the idea for it for ages and I love how it turned out!!

I revisited the Northern Sanctuary in Echoes of Wisdom and I wanted to draw the priest with the cat there because I think they’re both adorable! (Ignore the terrible perspective I drew of the room!! I’m horrible at drawing scenery)
