Goodbyes are difficult.
I haven't been journaling.
Had a satisfying dream last night. I like it when my mind works my internal desires out in my head and gives them to me in dream format. Woke up feeling happy for this new false memory. Vague I know. My life is as it should be. I am grateful for all parts of it. I would like to be journaling again soon...
FaceTime and South Park
Lasts nights dreams were weird.
• I found the missing box of Q-tips. • Giant Balls of ice falling from the sky... beautiful and deadly to navigate through. • Aimee had a red car. • Very tall and and narrow bridges looked like big white arches. • My bottom layer of teeth fell out. • I towel whipped a pregnant friend in the chest with a little rag; her husband admonished me. • Shame. • Shame. • Shame. • I couldn't find the right travel size shampoo or conditioner. Woke up and my face is aching from grinding my teeth and my ears and sinus cavities hurt from allergies.
“Gesture of Banishing” The hand gesture that many call demonic and the sign of the devil is ironically used in many ancient traditions to expel demons or delete thoughts and actions which are against life, peace and harmony. It was called Karana Mudra in yogic and Buddhist circles.
Also called the “The Gesture Warding off Evil”
It is made by raising the index and the little finger, and folding the other fingers. It is nearly the same as the gesture known as corna in many western countries, the difference is that in the Karana mudra the thumb does not hold down the middle and ring finger.
You can find abhayamudrâ sometimes also as a left-hand gesture. Ekajata and Yama, as well as Vajrapani and Bhutadamaravajrapani are frequently shown in this mudra.

A place and a time to type the recent feels.
I am so friggin blessed. The transitions over these past few months have been a challenge, yet at the same time, so many blessings have come out of them. Friends have showed up at the right time to provide support as have books, other words of wisdom and food. Camping, road tripping and exploring natural as well as man made wonders with my partner was a gift that I am so grateful he insisted we do. Time with Jon at his parents house has been restorative. Our pets are ridiculously happy. Creating new little rituals, sharing meals and watching the Olympics together has been deeply nourshing. It's good to have family. Having to git rid of material items that we don't need has in time felt like a huge weight being lifted. Reminding me that life is a constant lesson on attachments. (I get it! I get it! Now, no more lessons on attachment to things for awhile. Ok?!) Returning to my personal yoga practice as well as teaching after our time in the PNW has reminded me how rewarding it is to work in my feild. Wittnessing the healing powers of yoga daily, something my eyes may have been fogged from seeing in those rough few months. My students are the best people and teach me so much. I'm thankful. I'm curious. And excited to discover how the next few days, weeks and months unfold. Jon and I are checking out a new apartment tonight after a dinner date. And I'm surprising him by showing up in a dress and not yoga clothes... Which feels pretty damn exciting.
