What frustrates me more about being a bad student in college is that my only personality trait growing up ,that made me proud, was that I was almost as smart as my close friends, who were always really smart... or at least i could pretend I was really smart... I didn't mind I failed in any other aspect in life like i did...maybe I minded a bit but I could think: "At least my grades are excellent". It kinda become my only personality trait. I lost that and I think: "Is there anything left to me?"... Self hatred always came naturally to me and those coping mechanisms too. Comparing myself to others is not right. But thinking and doing it are two different things. Also people who watched you grow created all these expectations of you...You create this monsters of self hatred and in the end you think you are nothing... In the end what matters is what you think but what is that? What do you think? What do you want that isn't already messed up by expectations of others? I have no dreams of my own without thinking about what others will think about it...
