Which is more interesting to you?
I'm thinking about a fanfiction that I would like to write someday. One of those ones with an OC and how them being there affects the plot of the main story. I don't want to get into too many details about them yet, but I will say their presence greatly influences the background.
One of the background plot points I keep going back to is Bakugo's relationship with Midoriya. We know in canon that Bakugo was Midoriya's friend turned main tormentor turned rival. In this story, while being vague, the OC does something that causes Bakugo's social standing at the Aldera School District to take a nose dive while still in elementary school. Other things happen as a consequence of this, and the events lead to one of three different scenarios.
Bakugo is forced to leave Midoriya and the OC alone, even having Bakugo and the OC switch classes to keep them apart. It isn't until 1st year middle school (7th grade) starts where Bakugo, having learned his lesson and has somewhat mellowed out from his experiences, is able to start rebuilding his friendship with Izuku and start one with the OC, causing them to be a trio once they get to UA.
Bakugo's parents pull him from Aldera Elementary and potentially move him from Musutafu, leading Midoriya and the OC to not run into him again until their first day at UA where the anger towards Midoriya and the OC comes back with a vengance, now seeing the quirkless boy wielding a quirk and beating Bakugo during the Quirk Apprehension Test using it.
It's similar to Scenario 2, but instead of the three meeting again at UA, Bakugo instead goes to a different school, most likely Shiketsu. They don't see him until the Provisional Hero License Exam where there are other problems for Midoriya and the OC to deal with there.
