āThey grow quickly now, and when they are grown I shall have my wings.ā
āIf I had wings, I would want to fly too, Dany thought.ā

ā āHe has a song,ā [Rhaegar] replied. āHe is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire.ā
āHe looked up when he said it and his eyes met Danyās, and it seemed as if he saw her standing there beyond the door.ā
- A Clash of Kings (George R. R. Martin)
the fact that when we first hear of the azor ahai prophecy in davos i in a clash of kings melisandre says: āin ancient books of asshai it is written that there will come a day after a long summer when the stars bleed and the cold breath of darkness falls heavy on the worldā, and then in daenerysā very first chapter, in the very first sentence, itās stated that āthe dothraki named the comet shierak qiya, the bleeding starā. this is how the prophecy is introduced to us, and literally two chapters later in danyās pov we see basically the exact same words repeated at the very beginning. it is not a coincidence that the only two instances in the entire book in which the red comet is referred to as a star that bleeds is in the azor ahai prophecy and the dothraki language/culture, which is connected to daenerys and her arc only. and after we already know that the other elements of that sentence have become true: the longest summer in living memory has just ended and the others are coming back. after we know the comet appeared on the night daenerys brought the dragons back into the world.
this is just one of many examples, but itās just to say that it was never meant to be subtle. it was never meant to be a mystery, or a secret, or a shocking plot twist. for the characters in the story? it certainly is like that. but for us readers? it was always in plain sight and thatās the point.

You do not let somebody tell you what your human existence is for. You do not let another soul on this green earth tell you what your human existence is meant to be. You do not let somebody shame you out of liking something. You do not let somebody shame you out of expressing your joy or your sadness. You do not let somebody shame you out of your authenticity. The whole point while your feet are on this rock in space is to express. It is to feel. It is to be. It is to do. It is to love. And whatever that means to you, is completely yours and nobody in this world should have any say in taking that away from you in any way. That is the one thing you should never allow in your lifetime to be taken from you: The freedom to be yourself.
