I regret every post I've ever shared that was written by or praised that rapist bastard Neil Gaiman. Even though I have friends in common with him, I don't personally know him. I believed what they said about him, and some of them believed he was the person he pretended to be. But we all know the truth now, those of us who did not.

He's a fucking monster and you should not, as fan or peer, ever let him off the fucking hook for what he's done to women throughout his ENTIRE LIFE.

Thieves look like your actual phone and bill companies now-- and real companies are using AI that will send false bills as well

If you get ANY kind of email, text or phone call re: bills you supposedly owe or services you bought being canceled, DO NOT REPLY DIRECTLY. Instead, go to the source of the service you use -- your phone company's official website, official bookmarks that you already have for all your services, official phone numbers listed on older regular bills you already received and paid -- and use those to find contact info. Then contact them directly and confirm that any demands for payment or threats of cancelation are real. Because honestly these days a con job can look like they are from a real business or real fundraiser, etc. And even a real company you use can now send you a false bill in error due to AI that doesn't actually work right.

And PLEASE talk to your elders about this; they are used to trusting phone calls and emails so please offer to go over any threats of cancelation or demands for payment with them before they reply to any emails. Also offer to set their phone up so they will only receive calls from known numbers already in their phone if that is an option.

speaking of the scary ocean, in the Salish Sea we have bioluminescence in the summer. It’s not like in movies where the whole sea glows. The microorganisms which cause it only glow when they’re disturbed. On a warm, still night the sea is black until you stick your hand in and shake it around, then it lights up blue.

anyway my friends and I dive at night and it’s really cool to watch someone from above because they look like a celestial being in the water, glowing blue underwater.

what is deeply UNNERVING is when a Very Large creature passes you at some distance, and you know because you see a blue, glowing mass go by and you think well, that’s just not my business.

-This might be used by psychopathic relatives, parents, spouses, teachers, authority figures to stalk their victims.

-This might be used by cult leaders to control their involuntary members (the kids of those who joined up).

-DICTATORSHIPS WILL USE THIS TO CONTROL THEIR CITIZENS.

-This might be used in abusive ways by abusive parents toward their kids, especially queerphobic parents.

-This might be hacked and exploited in thousands of ways by hackers, especially those looking to stalk and/or blackmail targets.

-This might potentially be hacked to alter data in order to frame someone for a crime.

-Espionage, hacking of Intel personnel, of gov't officials.

-I can keep going; my imagination can come up with a million ways this will absolutely be a disaster. Maybe that's because I grew up with a parent in Intel and because I could code once upon a time and as a result I get just how dangerous this could be to everyone. Everyone.
