What could be a good present? Something that wasn’t expensive of course, but also not too cheap. A bouquet of poinsettias? Boxes of chocolates? Maybe a new sweater for Saeyoung? (seriously though that boy probably has been wearing the same sweater for so long that it was probably stuck onto his body). As for Saeran maybe a sketchbook with a couple of booklets with puzzles in it. But what if he didn’t like it? What if the twins didn’t like the presents and instead were disappointed.

“Rainy”

Word Count: 1147

It had proved to be a strange Christmas season for MC.  Not only was she avoiding her family, but with it being so late in December it was unusual for it to be raining.  MC could imagine that she was an odd sight as she found herself under an umbrella waiting for a while outside a nearby cafe.  

Instead of a winter coat, she wore a raincoat, rain boots, and was trying her best not to let the rain mist onto her pink glasses.  While she wanted to focus on being on the lookout.  MC stared down at her own feet as she recalled the way her brother yelled at her before hanging up the phone.  She only wanted to inquire about the health of their mother, despite everything that happened, she still loved her mom.  

“Hey.”  A quiet voice startled her out of the thought.  Lifting the edge of her umbrella to see Saeran.  His hair was still pale at the tips but it was almost the shame shade of red as her own hair, his minty like eyes peered at her freckled face for a moment before he looked to the side, he seemed to look a little flushed.

“Twinkling Light”

With the night wrapping to a close MC traded the ruckus of the party to the silence of the hotel’s hallways as Jumin led the way.  His warm hand wrapped around hers, urging them towards the suite he had gotten.  Trying to keep up with him MC stumbled a little, finally causing Jumin to pause and allow her to catch her breath.  

“Sorry MC.  Are you alright?”  He turned and brushed her hair out of her face, looking her over.

“I’m fine, but what’s the hurry?”  She slipped her hand back into his.  Watching as the light blush grew on his cheeks, he averted his gaze from hers.  

“There’s no hurry.”  A light tug on her hand and they were walking again, this time at a more leisurely pace.  With Jumin glancing over at her being caught every time.  The party had been nice, and MC and picked out a nice velvet red dress for the occasion.  It matched the decorations she set up in the penthouse, only to be surprised when Jumin said he got a suite at the hotel that would be hosting the party.  When she had asked why he mentioned how Mr. Kim should be able to have the night to share with his family.  

They had been dropped off and the night itself had been wonderful, though wonderfully busy at times.  They had sold plenty of tickets and the auction went off without a hitch, everyone had fun and they could easily say the fundraising party had been successful.  However, MC’s favorite part was how often the same hand that now held her’s had been pressed against the small of her back.  Ushering her around from group to group as Jumin escorted her.
