As we wish FFXV a Happy 9th Anniversary today, we would like to take a moment to look to the future.

November 29, 2026 will mark the ten year anniversary of the release of Final Fantasy XV. 

Ten years is an important measure of the passage of time by most standards, but it’s an especially significant milestone in the FFXV Fandom. Regardless of when we as fans jumped into the Regalia with the boys and embarked on an adventure with them, the characters of the world of Eos touched our souls in a profound way.

Ten years is the amount of time Noctis was trapped in the crystal, preparing to make the ultimate sacrifice. The road to dawn was a long one and we as fans were privileged to come along for the ride, with all of the joys and heartache that it entailed.

I know that finishing this book in the span of a few days is going to be one of those “what do you wish you could experience for the first time again” answers. Cause damn. What a ride. I feel like I walked through a haunted house, exited back to my own world and yet something has attached itself to me. If you can stand horror I highly recommend it!

Guys I promise I have been drawing a lot, just working on some projects and really just drawing for myself for a bit. It’s been really fun to just relax and draw what I want without the self imposed pressure of having something to post. What I’ve re-learned is that I am in love with the mark making process, like that’s my jam and where I am happiest. It’s just pure joy. Haha in a scary world right? Also my youngest had walking pneumonia so that was fun but really made us all stay home and just chill. I will have some more Achilles stuff and wouldn’t you know that little obsession also got me fired up again on my old favorite Promptis❤️

Anyhow just some rambling, I hope everyone is doing well and can find the time to practice some self indulgence because we all deserve it❤️

saw an elderly woman walking around with a tote bag whose design were the four AO3 fic category squares and she very excitedly asked if i was a reader or a writer bcs nobody else at the con had recognized it, and after telling her that i've been writing fic since fanfic.net, she solemnly nodded and explained that she'd been reading fic since "the days of personal websites" but that she only started writing fanfic when she was 47 and oh my god when i tell you that i genuinely teared up on the spot!!!!! like!!! HELL YEAH???? LITERALLY NEVER TOO OLD TO START WRITING. NEVER TOO OLD TO WRITE AND SHARE YOUR FIC.

her enthusiastic "i'm a very nice and bubbly person, i swear! but i love writing angst and major character death :)" nearly took me the fuck out.

icon. legend. diva. i wish her nothing but a kajillion million comments and kudos. i hope her fic updates crash AO3. i hope she knows i'm promoting her to my personal patron saint of AO3.

I love this, because really I think (especially as we get older) that anyone we meet, pass by or bump into in the real world can’t POSSIBLY know anything about our secret little fandom lives, our writing, our drawing, whatever.

But my gosh what fun is it to assume the opposite, that maybe that middle aged lady rounding up her kids has a long running slow burn fic. Little secret worlds everywhere.

I don’t know if this a pro tip or anything but drawing something so incredibly self indulgent with the intent of never ever sharing it is so freeing, really helps break down whatever wall I got going on. There’s a lot that’s awful right now, but I had an excellent drawing day and I’m going to savor that little nugget❤️
