Foxio Week 2023 happens to fall during the anonymous portion of another writting challenge. This makes cross-posting Foxio material related to that challange -- difficult. So this is my attempt at an anonymous account. Is it working?

Wanting to make another Fox charm but stuck in which design feels better: Tooka on top of helmet or curled around the helmet.

Fox and Thire and my specific lil hc that when quick notes need to be taken down, like with witness reports or something, Fox will force whichever brother had to come with him to the scene to take the notes while he does the fun part of asking questions. They all complain about it as if scribbling shorthand on a datapad is the most grueling task ever

just imagining one of the marshal commanders being out of commission for an extended period of time but you can't just run a system army without one so they stuff fox in the position for a bit since "he wasn't doing anything anyway-" and most of the gar don't have high expectations...

meanwhile fox slams a tiple shot homebrewed guard inspired caf that's ship fuel and heart failure rolled into and is "aight boys lets blast this kriffer" and proceeds to crank out 5000 documents, planned and executed an entire planetary siege and two rescue ops, bit count dooku's hand, had a massive row with general skywalker, spliced together a damaged engine with spit and a prayer during said argument, hotwired an enemy ship, and reorganized the entire inventory on board before being found face down in the middle of a hallway.

(the troops want their normal marshal commander back please-)

If he's with the 212th: He is having a blast terrorizing the shit out of Cody's whole battalion. Him and Obi-wan get along surprisingly (distressingly) well. Obi-wan thinks he's neat (Cody is Not jealous thank you very much but thats his General-). Anakin is put in timeout for trying to fist fight him after one too many thinly veiled "The Chancellor is a Fucknut actually" comments from Fox (hes doing that on purpose. He loves watching that vein throb in Anakins forehead). He at some point, somehow, tricks Dooku into turning himself into Yoda (did it involve the discovery that the man considered Obi-wan his grandson and a spliced together voice recording of Qui-gon telling him that hes disappointed in him that Fox hooked up to a hidden sound system to inflict psychological torment? Maybe).

By the end of his stay, he and whatever Jedi he's with (Obi-wan in this case), through a series of increasingly convoluted and unhinged actions, have killed the Chancellor.

Did they know he was a Sith? That's up for debate.

Did Fox do it because he hated Palpatine and also he wanted to piss off Anakin? It's looking more and more likely.

Foxio Week 2023 Day One: Behind Enemy Lines

Here is the first (and so far only published) chapter of The Cerulean Palace Incident.

Summary:

Fox is undercover in the lower levels of Coruscant, but the mission is interrupted when a certain young Pantoran senator needs rescuing from the Cerulean Palace nightclub.

(Inspired by a pivotal scene in The Blue Castle by L. M. Montgomery.)

He's undercover so that counts as "Behind Enemy Lines", right.

More chapters are on their way, but sadly not in time for Foxio Week. 😔

My contribution to @foxiyoweek 2023 Day One: Enemy Lines

You stand up strong in midst of devil’s force,

On battlements o’er fierce Ares’ fields,

Your gold eyes watch your soldiers’ vicious course

Leaving no choice for others but to yield:

In your two hands burn hell’s own hottest fires

Which burn your own skin as much as your foe,

Make mine reflect wonder as do sapphires

Reflect a pyre-light: the debt we all owe

Is painted on my skin which worships yours

As a flowers worships he who waters,

As our people worship the ocean shores,

And paint foxes across heaven’s quarters.

Wherever you strike ‘hind enemy’s lines

With you goes my heart - for you it pines.

This is the first of a handful of 14 line Shakespearean style sonnets, which differ from Petrarchan sonnets in the rhyme scheme and somewhat in the content structure. Each line is in iambic pentameter, which means five pairs of syllables, with the last two a rhyming couplet. I would love to talk about it.

Please spare a moment of pity for how hard it is to rhyme in this pattern.
