In the realm of fanfiction, George and Max are just like Morticia and Gomez. In the way that they are not crazy FOR each other, rather they're crazy BECAUSE OF each other.

Someone once posted how Morticia and Gomez would use divorce procedures just to express how they love each other so fucking much. Meanwhile, George and Max would file for divorce EVEN THOUGH they are not fucking married.

... And of course, George is the one who filed the divorce. Max is just there on the sofa with a red bull in hand, shrugging, "Anything can happen. I can die today, tomorrow, slip on the shower tile and bang my head on the (...) I'm fine with the divorce (HE IS NOT)." Guess what, afterwards someone still has that Pavlovian response to his divorced situationship partner in loathing's every little thing.
