Chance: And welcome to day one of our spectacular event! I am looking forward to how our contestants will act on this day! I’ve also been incredibly kind and donated some useful items, like weapons and other things, to some of them. Hope they actually do something entertaining with them! And our cameras are live!

Chance: Fantastic! Another death! Gotta be careful of the berries in that forest. If you don’t know which are which, you’re gonna have a bad time!

Chance: So, you may be wondering, “How on earth are you gonna show a death battle? Is that not too gruesome for TV?” And I say don’t you all worry your pretty little heads. This battle royal is simulated, meaning the contestants will not feel a thing. As it’s styled like The Hunger Games, the aim of the game is to be the last one to survive! The last contestant remaining will get the Victorious Ones trophy from yours truly!

We’ve sent everyone down into their districts. Before I give the signal for everyone to begin, let’s have a listen in to some contestants thoughts through our live video screen!

Chance: Oh ho! A bit of smack talk from one of the contestants! This will be exciting! I wonder if the other contestants are feeling as confident or whether their nerves are getting the best of them!

(The 200 follower event is a go! Each week, I will post what the simulator mentions on it and add some drawings about what’s happened. As I said, I’m not gonna make them gruesome or serious. It will be in a comedic tone with slapstick-styled “deaths”.

Now that you know the very first pairings, feel free to draw your character either talking smack to the other character in your district or perhaps some other form of dialogue. This is not mandatory in any way! This is solely for a bit of fun before I get to drawing the events that are taking place! If you do draw any art for this event, please tag me or use the #200followerhungergamessim tag.

Mothball took careful steps over the unfamiliar area. Then again, most places were unfamiliar to it- it didnt stay in one place long. Its spring. I wonder what kind of berries are here…? Hopefully something good. It thought about the likelihood of finding something that was interesting, it hardly came across anything other then wilderness or anything made by someone else. I havent seen any tools in awhile. It thought to itself. It missed living in anything other then a burrow, too, as part of it was a bug and the other part was a dog. So… not very built for a dirty dim hole.

CHAPTER ONE

Distance

In the forest, there stands a pokemon, solely itself. A small, nervous, and curious pokemon who only wants to find somewhere to stay, somewhere safe. Its already crossed much land, and has found a sort of settling feeling in its current stride. It has found many things of interest, things its in need of, and a sense of security. Its spring now, and all the berries are fresh and the streams are clear. The bug-types buzz and the season hums with greenery. It has no issue traversing the smooth and frequent flat land. But theres still something missing. Something that it cant figure out. It seems impossible to get a grip on what exactly it is- there seems like no way to latch onto it directly. All it can do is guess and try to find out what exactly is wrong. But it can never seem to find an actual problem.

I wonder if anyone can loosen a thread in the knot a little bit?

However Alburune was going to answer that question, it was answered for him. Having momentarily lost the confidence to speak for himself, he nods in agreement to Ark’s answer. Whether he had anything else to add was for the moment forgotten.

The silence is tense, but Paleo eventually breaks it. “Let’s…start packing everything up, kids. We’ll get a quick drink from the river before we head out, alright?”

Both of them nod.

Araphel asked in a rather curious tone, "what is it like being a hybrid? Surely, it must be difficult."

Mothball looked at Araphel with no expression. “How do I explain? I guess the only difference is theres no other pokemon with my appearance. No other pokemon have really commented on it. And I dont have any hate towards me is related to that. Uhh… and Ive always been a hybrid so I dont know if I have an unusual problems…? I dont really have pain or trouble doing things. Ive worried because Im a hybrid that something mightve gone wrong and I have like organ issues or be sick or something like that.”

The legged mer-rai was loaded with a large bag that hung on their back, and their dress dusty from the road. Upon noticing the ninjask-hybrid, they paused- then decided to approach it, offering a friendly wave as they did so.

“Hello! Are you traveling through this area too? Heading anywhere interesting, or know any good visiting-places?”

Upon reaching a comfortable distance from Mothball, they came to a lively, full stop and looked down to it with a toothy smile.

Mothball approaches them a bit slowly. "Yea, I dont really know many places, just some burrows and stuff, not sure where they are though.. Im wandering, not for anything in particular."

Find some souvenirs for my girlfriend. Like I always do.

(John) Whattabout elderly humans who have clearly been long retired from th' sport, or humans who want nothing ta do wit' those pokeball contraptions?

“Pokeballs? I dunno what those are. I meant more like humans trying to grab me or get me to take me somewhere. And elderly humans… Well it depends. Im mostly hiding from humans anyway so many havent seen me, a few have- and most try to catch me.”

Vincent: He seemed slightly comfortable with the creature in front of his path. Mostly due to their appearance, which he may hold some form of assumptions. So he approached them with a shy smile. "Hello there. Sorry if I seem to be i-intrusive, but I do want to ask something. H... How do you feel about humans? D-Do they scare you o-or do you strangely f-find them to be your, erm... Um... Friend?"

"Well, Im scared of them. I can get along maybe if its a young human and not trying to catch me or grab me, but I dont like adults or humans that are always seeming to find me. I always run away from humans unless they dont move and arent mean or run up to me or anything. And its fine, its not intrusive to me at all. Humans are ok sometimes, but all of them are different." Mothball seems nervous to be around such a big pokemon, cowering a bit and leaning away. It seems shocked to see another fusion, and curious, but not enough to say anything.

Mothball trenched into the clearing, covered in grass. It looked around, seeing nothing but some trees, bushes, and other plants surrounding the outside of the clearing. It sighed and padded further into the grass, glancing around to see if it could see any food or water. It stopped as it came across a part of the clearing where there was no plants of any kind, and instead a big rock. It leaned against the rock and sat down. Well, atleast this will give me a bit of shelter. It thought, seeming unhappy and aggravated.

Mothball looks confused for a moment, before remembering the flowers on its back.

“Oh! Right. Its not my favorite, I just like what it represents, yknow flower meanings and such. Although I dont know much about the meaning of flowers, I dont really pay attention to those kind of things.”
