Arthur’s Uncle, Lance - Owner and head mechanic at “Kingsmen Mechanics”

Uncle Lance may seem a bit gruff at first but he can be pretty protective of his nephew and his friends.  He doesn’t much understand Arthur’s more… robot-y tinkerings or all this “Paranormal Investigation” stuff his buddies keep going on about, he prefers to not mixed up in all that weird stuff.

Rumor has it that Uncle Lance used to be a Pro-Wrestler when he was younger, though he will furiously deny it.  That doesn’t much explain why he’s got that championship belt around his waist though…

The last time he remembered his friend turning into a kitsune was when that demon attacked Mystery…

Funny how the roles were switched now.

Arthur trembled as the demon-possessed kitsune strolled closer and closer to him. The broken base for his robotic arm stung with with cuts and tears; at least the bleeding wasn’t severe.

He really hoped the demon didn’t mean he swallowed Mystery literally.

He wanted to believe that Mystery was still there. When he was possessed, Arthur was still in his body. He was still able to watch everything his body did, feel whatever it was doing, hear the words that left his lips or entered his ears.

Shit.

Arthur wanted to believe that Mystery was still there, but if that was the case, that meant there was a risk that Mystery would see what was going on.

He didn’t want Mystery to live with the same regret Arthur lived with; Arthur hurt Mystery, badly, when he was possessed.

This demon wanted to hurt him, using Mystery’s body.

"G-get out of him," Arthur stammered out quietly— he could hardly hear himself over the loud cackle of the demon. "G-get out of him!”

The last part came out as a strangled shout, startling even Arthur himself. He winced, then immediately bolted out of the room. Was he planning to actually run away from the kitsune? Not really. That was kind of impossible— Arthur was a fast runner, but he was no way faster than that canine. Was he trying to buy time to figure out a way to get the demon out of is friend’s body? Kind of.

"You really think that p̧i̡ss҉ ṕoo͝r̶ command is going to make me leave a K͡͞I̵T͘S͠U͘N̵̨E̷?!" Mystery barked, edging closer and closer until Arthur suddenly bolted away and out of the kitchen. Ohh, how cute!  "Arthur, Arthur..." The dog's voice cracked - skipping unnaturally -before bounding after the blonde, but only going fast enough to keep pace with him. It was as if he had no full intentions of taking the other down. "You think you can run from M̶͡E͝͝? You mortals make me l̶͘à͢u̧͝g̨h͏͏ ̴, it's almost too sad." 

"B̢út̵ I'͜m grow̢in̶g͡ ̶bo̵r͞ed ͜o̡f ͠t̀his litt͘le gam̢é," he mused, granting Arthur some time before suddenly BOLTING after him.

Since I was gone for a REALLY long time, I'll be cancelling all roleplays I had in session - to which I'm really sorry about. CRASHES THROUGH THE WINDOW "DOG B O Y F R I E N D"

“DE,” the dog jumped up, scrambling off his bed in some instinctual desire to distance himself from the crashing window. “What the hell!?” He barked, fur standing on end as he yipped at the demon.

"where the hell have you been?"

"Where have I been?" Mystery repeated, brow furrowing a bit. "Well," he murmured, glancing upwards. "I might have, been,"

"Might have been playing a game, several days straight." He sharply looked away.

CRASHES THROUGH THE WINDOW "DOG B O Y F R I E N D"

“Gee… I was just askin’… you might never know! I mean, yer a dog that talks and has glasses! Gee-hee-hee!”

“…no but seriously, can you get a napkin f’me? This is so gross.”

Then the hamster gave Mystery a cheeky smile.

“…naaaaaaah. I like bothering you more. It’s fun. Gee-hee!”

Mystery gave a long sigh, dread pouring into his gaze as he rightfully pushed himself to his paws and turned around. "I suppose," he drawled out, moving over towards the coffee table to reach up and grab a tissue from the box. 

"If I don't die from some supernatural monster, it's going to be you who kills me," he said before snatching up one of the tissues, bringing it over to drop on the hamster's head. 

"And by that, I mean from irritation."

"Heeeeeeeey Mystery! Wanna help me with a yuletide prank~?"

"Yuletide...?" Mystery questioned, cocking his head off to one side. 

"Nevermind that," he shook his head a moment later, tail springing to life in a series of wags. "What kind of prank?"

Arthur scrambled out of his seat and propelled himself backwards until his back hit the wall. Sickly yellow spots danced in Arthur’s vision, threatening to make him hurl.

Ah… his arm socket was bleeding again. A dreadful sense of deja-vu smashed into him, but this was much worse.

"M-Mys—"

This wasn’t Mystery.

This was not Mystery.

Arthur resisted the urge to hit himself on the head— how could he have been so stupid? He should’ve reacted, said something sooner!

He began to speak, but the first few tries fell flat because Arthur couldn’t push out any words past his sharp gasps for breath and the thick knot of nausea that seemed to choke his throat.

His shoulder blades touched the doorframe. He could escape if his legs still worked.

Oh, he felt so sick.

"Wh-wha— b-buddy, wh-what happened to— wh-what did you do to M-Mystery?!”

Arthur refused to believe that this terrifying dog was his friend. He just couldn’t. His hand gripped the injured stump that was left of his robotic arm.

Mystery felt his smile widen when Arthur scrambled back, preserving his life and keeping a moderate distance away from a former friend. However, this didn't stop the dog from prowling forward, delicate and small steps closing the gap that had been created across the kitchen. 

With every movement, something about the canine's form changed. His skeletal structure morphed and bended, his features becoming sharp and elongated. One tail morphed to six, all swaying in motion as he moved. 

"Oh, c'mon Art͡͏h̶̡u̶r̢, old pal." He smirked, eyes lighting up in mischief. "You really think I'd be kind enough to tell you t̷͢h̷́á̷ţ̡? He's not here anymore, I devoured him whole and he's M͜Y͝ puppet now!" 

Then he paused, only a few meters away from Arthur as he gazed. "But please, don't you want to t҉alk? We can have lots of fun, especially when I R̷̭̰I̝̩͡͡P̷̖͔͢ ̵̝̲̣̞̼O͏̘͇͖̹͙̘F̪̞̞F̸̙̞͟ ̤̗̩̀Y̹̗͔̫̘Ǫ̹̗̭̗U̷̥̳̘͉̖̥͟R̹̦̤͈̳ ͓̼͙O͝҉͍̱͇͓̠̜̺̮̖T̸̥̟͘H̲͉̬̯̠E̶̝͙͞R̬̗̕ ͙̳͉̩͙̠́A̮͕̤̣͇R̷͔͈̰̺̬̱͟͠M̶̡͙̫͖͎̦͞ͅ!͇̻̰͍̪̪͝"̵̞̬̪͙̤̟̣̀͞ ̸̯̱̣̲͜ Then he cackled.
