so... it was love at first sight! the first time you met adam taylor, you were like 'oh, he's cute, he looks like a puppy.' but you are still not aware that you like him at that time. since, let's say that you were the female version of your older brother, noah. a workaholic girl who only cares about helping her brothers on managing the kingdom.
and when you were talking to adam. it was so awkwarddd! because he always answers you with one word. remember when you ask him how's your older brother as a boss? he just said 'fine'. and he immediately ends your conversation with that simple answer. you see, despite of being a workaholic, you still love making friends. and you already befriended all servants and knights working on the mansion, except him.
that's why you spent your free time observing him, but not in a creepy way, okay? you just ask him about his likes and dislikes despite of not getting any answers from the said boy, you still didn't give up. after all, according to your older brothers, being persistent is one of your positive traits.
and one day, you finally! your hard work had finally paid off! because while you were working in your brother's office. one of the servants entered and gave you a plate full of sweets. because you see, you often eat sweets to make your brain work. and you were about to take a bite of one of the chocolates. you saw adam looking at you.
well, that's what you thought at first. but adam was actually staring at the sweet that you had in your hand. this was the first time that you saw the usual stoic adam taylor look like a curious puppy. you smiled lightly as you gestured for him to sit next to you. you noticed that he wasn't moving that's why you looked at your older brother and asked for his permission. luckily, noah agreed and let adam sit next to you.
and while you were reading the papers on the table in front of you. adam was quietly eating the sweets that you gave him. and you are glancing at him from time to time and you can only say one thing. he looks so cute. like how did this guy who was called a 'savage' able to be so innocent and cute?!
and after that sweet incident. you often dragged adam with you whenever you go out to buy sweets. sure, many people discriminate against him due to being an alsalsa. but seeing that you, duke wyknight's younger sister glaring at them. they couldn't do anything but bow their heads.
and adam was confused. he has so many questions that he wanted to ask you. why are you being so kind to him? when everyone was scared of him, why are you always wearing a smile whenever you are with him? he couldn't get it. at first, he was fine when he was with you. you were his liege's younger sister and he was your brother's knight. nothing more, nothing less. so why does he become flustered when you were around?
adam might not say it out loud. but he loves whenever you were pampering him. giving him sweets, watching him practice, taking him with you whenever you go out. don't blame him for not being able to realize his feelings for you. he is not used to this kind of thing, you know?
and there is also that time when adam unconsciously avoided you. when he saw you approaching him, he will immediately hide. when you were calling him, he will just walk away. you don't know why he is avoiding you, even he himself doesn't even know. but seeing adam avoiding you hurt your feeling a little bit.
but when you directly confronted him. and the knights who witnessed it that time could only say one thing. their lady was frightening, seeing how the usual calm adam taylor become a mess after their lady confronted him. but at the same time, everyone could tell that you and adam like each other but you just aren't aware of it.
but little did they know, unlike adam. you were aware that you like him. yet, you didn't say nor do anything about it. you don't want to make your friendship with adam awkward.
and i think adam's love language is quality time and acts of service. since every time he has free time he usually goes to you to spend his time with you. and whenever you accidentally slept on the sofa while doing some paperwork. adam will carry you to your bed and tuck you to sleep. those simple gestures were adam's way to show his feelings to you.
and noah who noticed the change in adam from the first time he introduced you to him. jokingly said to adam that you were too young to get married to each other. and what he didn't expect was to see the faint pink hue on adam's cheek as he tried to defend himself from what noah just said.
and noah, this guy honestly enjoys teasing adam after that. whenever he got a chance he will tease him. and there were also some times that he also teases you. but despite of being like that, noah was the president of the 'make (first name) and adam realizes their feelings for each other' club. note, raelina and siatrich are the vice presidents of that club
all in all, despite of being dense. adam have a soft spot when it comes to you! there are some times that this guy will unconsciously act like a lovesick fool but you aren't even aware. since, in your eyes, adam taylor will remain as your cute puppy who's having a hard time showing his feelings.
