Spoiler-free note: For specific YW fans; If you're worried about this one bc of whatever timeline mess is going around in Y-Academy, no worries! This AU is safe to begin with :). Think of this like a legit spin-off, standalone with YW elements.

Oh and one more thing about not just the main plot but for a specific element: I'm aware that some/most may not be a fan with school stuffs as the main genre. As for me, I'm sorta okay with that. If by any chance you notice something different or sorta way off for a school stuff genre:

I've experienced I think a reasonable amount of school academic stuffs but not as being a main thing. There are some exciting stuffs I might be willing to share...through a YW AU story haha

I have bare knowledge of how academic works differently in Japan. I mean, there are medias like that but I'm worried that it won't be accurate or not lol

Or! The main protags would have just study and then that's it while dealing with crazy stuffs happening lol

YW: Shadow HUNTER

This is the Masterpost of Arcs and Chapters for Zero's story

Main Tag(s): Original Character(s), sooo this is gonna be interesting fanfic, and that is how Mystic write horror!, that is not just boos classic jumpscares it's more of a concept way (like exploring natural fears such as being alone, fear of height, etc.), minor violence, hurt/comfort, angst & humor, More tags will be added as Chapters released, general version of tackling heavy topics (it's like the soft, simple version? Zero will try to learn to their very best about mental health issues, bullying, and common stuffs), so shadowside folks how are we feelin :), this may be or actually not the Shadowside fanfic y'all looking forward from me but, think of this as a sort fan-letter to this entry!

Spoiler-free note: Believe or not, you can actually start this one instead Shadows of Sun & Moon. Doesn't matter if you're legit Shadowside fans or not or new to the YW series, this AU is safe to begin with despite the setting take place in the future of the Chron. EVOLv world. If you DO come from Shadows of Sun & Moon, this will definitely make your experience worth it! For a certain group that DOES come from the 1st AU, don't worry: they would never drop huge spoiler blasts out of nowhere. Think of them as special guest(s) yet they resume their supporting role to the main plot

And oh!! I forgot to mention an important element about Zero's story: Tribes from the 1st-3rd entry WILL be mentioned here as an (continous) universal part of this. Don't worry about the Shadowside Tribes I already got that one covered. (By the time this note is made: I'm aware that some Shadowside Youkais did NOT get their classic Tribes...just yet! Puni Puni is currently adding them classic Tribes so ofc I will include up-to-date if this youkai does have an official Tribe. This ofc WILL NOT affect everything in Zero's story and world)

I want to let simplicity continue from the previous eras in order to make the flow fair and easy to understand. As for the Izana-YES OFC THERE WILL BE. Mikado...I don't think there will be in this one sadly. The symbols yes cause I'm already gettin sun moon vibes but for story worldbuilding, nope sorry :( Again I want the flow to be fairly open and understanding.

KW: Planned yet sadly canceled Events

(Rises from my Kunitori Wars informative role)

heyo. it been awhile since I touch upon this great game huh :^)

Anyway, let's get right to it! Here are the events I find that looks like it was planned yet sadly have to be canceled before Kunitori Wars will go defunct.

The "Western-style" arc:

First off, context info about this one. After all Seven Warlords are revealed, Kunitori Wars is planning for another event and it's a HUGE one; this time are the next 3 story arcs that involve an "isekai-like" adventure for jibbers and his friends. The one who's in charge for this is the Great Demon King Shibu (I believe he's similar to Hinoshin in terms of design and what he is. He's the dude with fog covering his eyes)

From my trying attempt to understand what's going: On the prequel of the 3 arcs, the Demon King Shibu decide to give Jibanyan, Fuyunyan, and Komasan 3 artifacts (I also got pot or pressure point? I want to assume it's like a sealed artifact or treasure???). These artifacts have 3 types: The Chinese-style, Japanese-style, and the Western-style. Jibbers chose the Chinese-style, Fuyunyan ofc took the Japanese-style, and lastly Komasan picked the Western-style. 1st impression coming from the trio is definitely food or somethin that grants their wish bc the style they pick, right???

Nope! Too bad!! The moment they try and break the artifact (accidentally)...IT SUDDENLY BECOMES LIKE A SORTA ISEKAI ADVENTURE FOR THEM AMFJESJ (Not reaalllly? The background for the KW main story is still there + Whisper Kongming actually confirms they're still in the world they know of. I think it magically "wrap" certain youkais associated with that artifact to be here and yeah XD). So! For the 3 arcs we got:

Chinese-style = The Fengshen Yanyi arc starring only jibbers and Whisper

Japanese-style = The Sengoku arc starring Fuyunyan as the protagonist and the others

That's 2 arcs, leaving the Western-style. What's the Western-style? Well, guess what???

It never happens :^)

There's gonna be 3 arcs...AND WE ONLY GOT 2

so yep. We got 2 arcs and we never got a chance to see what the "Western-style" truly is. What's also very sad is that this is also Komasan's pick, meaning he was gonna get to be this arc's starring protag...and he sadly never did :''''). If you want more, I believe the Fengshen Yanyi arc lasted a year & 6 months. As for the Sengoku arc, I mention theirs is not much longer like the previous one. Instead of a year, they lasted 7 months...yeah they really deserve the same like the Fengshen Yanyi & 7 Warlords :'^>

If you want my guess about the "Western-style"...well I hope it's not another one that takes place around Medieval Times like the Arthurian legends??? (Puni took care of that one soooo). I tried to find any western historical periods/novels that give any similar signs to Romance of the Three Kingdoms, etc. So far...I got nothing lol

Well. Actually. There is one I have in my mind but I hope it'll be interesting if they chose to be it's own unique thing: The Journey to the West adventure in Kunitori Wars

Ik the YW anime adaptation did that one but it's like an attempt and it immediately fall into unexplainable chaos lol. If this were to be included, my best bet is youkais being similar to the Seven Warlords in terms of designs

(A bit unrelated but I mentioned this one before somewhere like 2 years ago and I forgot to include it here lol. It's fine, the next one is more appropriate on the makings of this post)

Hachibu-kun and the 8 Golden Weapons

This one is supposedly the next series or maybe it's a mini event series that has no storylines before the Sengoku arc? I may get this one wrong but apparently: There's going to be a new KW exclusive youkai named Hachibu-kun/Hachibukun.

From what I can try to tell of the image above: Hachibu-kun is seemingly the grandsmith of 8 golden, legendary weapons. And these weapons are:

A sword, bow, axe, claws, horns, twin swords, fan, and katanas??? (Idk)

These 8 certain types of weapons have a legend: If one has experienced many battles (Even a thousand!), it'll gain a will and choose a master upon the encounters of any warrior youkais.

I want to think the 8 golden weapons is a reference to the 8 Immortals which is prettee interestin and cool! For Hachibu-kun, I suppose it's the same ref bc of the first kanji???

ngl i looked up with the full name kanji and it took me to the 8 Immortal warriors but digimon version XD hey at least i got a confirmation

After that mini intro, we got 2 youkais of the 8 weapon masters: The bow for Komami & the fan for Insomni.

For 2 weapon masters...we immediately shift to the Sengoku arc. I think you'll know where this is going :^)

My biggest guess is: I believe the Hachibu-kun and 8 weapon masters event was introduced right after the finale of the Fengshen Yanyi arc. After 2 out of 8 were introduced, we immediately shift to the Sengoku arc for new years or something (Somewhere in the first week of January). 7 months later, the finale of the Sengoku arc arrives. 2 months later before the defunct fall...we didn't get anything :^)

Same fate with the "Western-style" arc, we have missed the opportunity to see who exactly is this new KW youkai named Hachibu-kun (and oh I guess the rest of the 6 weapon masters. It's like who is that format yet it ended abruptly). While I do get with warrior youkais we know being the weapon master...I personally wish the weapon masters is kinda like the Jewel Generals AND hopefully the 7 Warlords in design & vibes

Are there more I'm not aware of? Well, let's find out if there were :'^)
