Rowlet!
Ok… When I watch this scene in my playtrough I was like….“Oh she freezed up maybe 4-5 Pokemon… that’s kinda terrible but I disappointed that Gamefreak didn’t go further than that”
….It took several rewatch of let’s play until I realize that the square patterns on the wall are all Pokemon container…….
Jesus Christ.

And this concludes the Babylon Rogues comic trilogy. Not much to say, although I am glad that it’s now confirmed that it was Omochao who sold Sticks that cake in her comic. I also have some Obligatory Trivia Stuff to share just like always.
First up is the title. While the kanji 漢 does mean “man” and has the same pronunciation and meaning as 男, a far more standard kanji of the term, it has slightly different connotations to it. If the kanji 漢 is used, it’s meant to imply that the man it’s referring to is honorable, a man among men if you will, which is why I translated the title as “man’s man.” It’s almost exclusively manga slang, though, because it’s easier to convey that meaning in text because of their otherwise identical pronunciation.
Another thing is the way Storm talks. In all his appearances so far and this comic, he has ended almost all of his sentences with ワイナ. It’s just a kind of an archaic sentence-end indicating emotion and emphasis and has no significant meaning, so just like Sticks and Omochao’s verbal tics, I ignored it here because there’s really no good way to stick it into his English speeches.
Next comic will be an Omochao comic, whom the page humorously calls “lovable” and “in a sense, quite a phantom” (or more accurately, someone who shows up at unexpected places and moments). See you next time.

It’s very nice. It’s a relatively new favorite of mine because I used to hate Jet a lot before I actually knew a thing about him, but this is still a great pair. Like Sonic and Shadow, it is also built from mutual respect and has tons of potential. The competitive attitude is still retained, but they could still develop that further.
I wish Sonic Riders 3 was a thing. I want to say Sonic Riders 4, but Sonic Team does not care about Free Riders and neither do any of us, it seems.

The second in the Babylon Rogues comic trilogy. I don’t have many special comments this time around, just that it’s good that it’s now confirmed that Wave gets all peppy and excited when her Gear modding is successful and drops her cool and collected side completely when Jet-sama is not around to see that.
The obligatory trivia stuff will be reserved for Storm’s comic, so see you around then.
Reblog if GEN III is your favourite Pokémon generation!
[GEN I] [GEN II] [GEN IV] [GEN V] [GEN VI]

The Jet comic, and it seems to have come out an entire day earlier than the others. And thank God for me, it was pretty easy to translate, so you get a speedy release in English as well. This was kind of the last thing I expected out of Jet for his comic, but I enjoy what they did for him here. I really want to see this side of Jet more often now, perhaps some character development arc where he learns Compassion and Humility and doesn’t treat his co-workers like crap but still remains competitive and eager to beat Sonic. Or something.
Obligatory Trivia Stuff: The title has another special kanji reading. The word 矜恃 means “pride,” “dignity,” or “self-respect” and is pronounced as “kyouji” or “kinji” but the katakana above the word indicates the word should be pronounced as literally “pride.” Just thought I’d throw that out here once more.
Also, Wave addresses Jet by the honorable -sama honorific. She is 5 years older than him. His ego is that inflated. Awesome.
Next comic will be Wave! Whoa! See you next time.
