You can call me Kallie, I'm a beginner Hellenic Polytheist who's kinda all over the place lol. I'm extremely non-traditional in my practices but hope to remain respectful and at least partially faithful to the ancient Greek religion.

I love love love Greek mythology, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Epic the Musical, writing, reading, and that sort of thing. I wanna write a lot of my own prayers and maybe even post some for other people to use of take inspo from.

Apart from being a Nemesis devotee I am her number 1 fan of all time ever, she's my favourite goddess, nobody else comes close and I get so anxious whenever I pray to her because #social anxiety.

☽☾ The Huntress ☽☾

This is a devotional piece I drew for my beloved goddess Lady Artemis ! I'm really happy with the outcome even though I wish I could've done more with the background :/ but also this is the first fully colored piece I've done in a while and I'm glad I could do a more complicated one for my lady ! I hope she likes it , and you do too I hope <3

ALSO please cut me some slack on the rendering of the dog , I never draw animals and fully color them even less so , but I tried my best .

The little "print" on her clothing is supposed to be cypress branches & the white spots on her shoulders & cheeks are referencing the white spots of fawns ! The fur around her shoulders is from a bear and the bandages are stained with Ichor , the golden blood of the gods ( hunting isn't an easy job after all )

This piece was heavily inspired by one of my favorite paintings called " Diana the Huntress " by Gaston Casimir Saint-Pierre which I used as a reference :3

I have the most funny story ever

I wanted to watch a tv show that had a prophet character in it (Charmed) because I had watched it like years ago and was cycling through old hyperfixations. I decided because of the prophet character that I should invite Tiresias to watch it with me, so I make a prayer inviting him and then I just had the thought “I can’t see” and that was the only time I’ve ever felt like i could ‘hear’ a deity because that thought clearly wasn’t about me, I can see. I ended up watching it anyway and just describing what was happening on screen LMAO

I also think I’ve mentioned this before but I get a LOT of pictures in my head that relate to Tiresias, and I’m really not a visual thinker so that’s really out of the ordinary for me. Like I can visualise what she looks like more than with the others I worship, which I actually find that really ironic and interesting that visualisation comes easiest to me via the blind prophet

In terms of tips, other than just generic hero worship tips I don’t have any Tiresias specific ones, besides the fact that I do think you have to be more careful with offerings and devotional acts than with others due to the inability for Tiresias to see. Don’t do what I did and try to show him something primarily visual LMAO

Ofc I’d recommend researching myths in a lot of detail, Tiresias has a lot of variants of his myths and his myths are some of my favourites overall.

I invite Tiresias to join me a lot with divination and ask her to help me interpret the answers I get. I also find I get tarot cards pulled quicker by doing this. I always do divination near her altar.

Because of Tiresias’s connection with birds (being the inventor of augury and given the ability to interpret bird messages by Athena) I always take note of birds when I’m outside. I don’t know much about augury (bird divination) so I don’t interpret them as signs, but it is something that really interests me and that makes me feel connected to Tiresias.

I wish we had modern worship music for helpol. Like yeah yeah I know I can listen to Wiccan music but I want stuff specifically dedicated to the gods that isn’t ancient as hell, from a video game, Disney, or other piece of media.
