angel reese is truly so inspiring. i love her to her core. an amazing player with a genuine personality, and she works so hard, has the craziest hustle, and has uplifted so many black girls. i don’t know if anyone has ever seen the study made long ago where african american girls hated to choose dolls that looked like them because they thought they were ugly due to what society had told them. so the thought that angel reese is uplifting those girls, giving them a barbie that looks like them, showing them resilience and love, showing them they can do whatever a white person can do— she’s just beautiful inside out, and i’ll always love angel for everything she does on and off the court.
