David Bowie live in Berlin, 22nd September 2002
HE JUST FUCKING KINKSHAMED OML
I will be denying David Bowie’s death for the rest of my life and that’s that.

I love this completely unguarded shot of David. This was taken at the end of a particularly long and grueling day of interior shooting under hot lights. I took this in between cameras rolling with only one light source and no flash; I like the combination of Bowie’s hair tone and the orange glow given off by the lamp.

I never thought I’d need so many people.

Time takes a cigarette, puts it in your mouth / You pull on your finger, then another finger, then your cigarette
I’m still sad
The title of Bowie’s last album, released 3 days before he passed? “Blackstar”.
Definition? A black star is a transitional phase that is created when a collapsing star is close to reaching singularity, where the star’s influence becomes infinite and spacetime itself ceases to exist within it. Although the star at this point has died, it has been transformed into something else altogether and its energy will continue to be released indefinitely…

RIP David Bowie 1947 - 2016
The truth is of course is that there is no journey. We are arriving and departing all at the same time - David Bowie
