Hey my dear readers and followers! A new post for you! I just wanted to share the things I got during the first week of this month (an update too for my haul tag :P).
Teal peplum top & a dress from @Exztraplus clothing on instagram.
I admit it. I’ve been buying clothes non-stop for the past few weeks. I’m also revamping my closet since I started my OJT. I mean, come on, I am not a “formal” person so what to expect inside my closet? Casuals, casuals, laid-back clothes, edgy and stuff that are far from the “professional style”. Did I mention casuals? I don’t even have a blazer, so I have to borrow my mom’s. HAHA! I do have versatile dresses but without a blazer, no professional look for me. boo.
I was so ecstatic to buy clothes from them ever since I discovered their account. They sell lovely clothes for big girls like me for a very affordable price! Check out their store asap because stocks runs out fast! @Exztraplus So excited to wear these out!
Penshoppe reversible belt
This was a random buy while we, my sister and I, were at the mall yesterday (August 9, 2013). I did not intend to buy this leopard belt but it was freaking on sale! 350 pesos was the original price but I got it for only 149.00 pesos! Also, I didn’t know it was reversible until I checked it just this morning. I thought that the yellow part was just for the lining. You know for that added oomp. Oh boy. I surely got lucky with this purchase!
Reverse side of the belt.
Bracelets and a necklace from our relatives abroad.
and some other stuff. This was a simple gesture reminding us that they still remember us. How sweet of them. :)
Until my next post! :*

Crazy Ideas That Are Borderline Genius [via] Previously: Useless Things You Don’t Need to Know
Let's travel...in Style!
Come on, vámonos. Everybody let’s go. Come on, let’s get to it. I know that we can do it. Where are we going? …. So, you sang it, I bet. Uh okay. Dora The Explorer, here. hahaha! Nah, just kidding. I just thought the song was appropriate for the “travel" part of this post. No? Okay. Let’s just set aside my lame attempt to get a nice pun and get down with the post shall we? Here’s a brief recap of what I wore during our short vacation in the Lion City, Singapore. I wanted to make this a series of posts but, man, we were to busy being tourists that time that I didn’t have the chance to take proper “outfit of the day" kind-of-photos. So I was left with these “touristy" photos of myself. Okay, here it goes. Day 1 Denim Button Down hand me down | Black Liquid leggings Vixen SM Department Store | Leopard Loafers Apostrophe Trinoma | Swoon Bag | Jeremy Scott x Swatch Opulence Watch | Charlie Sunnies Comfort is the key when travelling abroad so I opted for this casual outfit for our first day in Singapore. Day 2 People are People top | Greenhills skirt | Solemate flats | Swoon Bag | Two K’s Closet spiked bracelet A day at Universal Studios calls for this skirt. I know it will be hot that day (which wasn’t because it rained) so I wore a loose top with this skirt that has been hiding in the corners of my closet for quite some time now. Day 3 Girlshoppe top | Cotton On studded shorts | Apostrophe loafers | Swoon Bag Day three was shopping day in the morning and sightseeing at night. I worn these pieces while we were on tour at the Marina Bay Sands. I wished I took a better photo of this UK flag top because the back was really cool. It’s actually like a poncho but the frills are on the back. Day 4 Giordano tee | Cotton On shorts | Swoon bag | Apostrophe loafers It was time to head back to Manila and a 3-hour plane ride is not comfortable. I wore a simple and comfortable outfit that day which I regret because I forgot it was a bit chilly on the plane. I guess it wasn’t a comfortable outfit after all. :P Check out my Singapore Trip posts here: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 xo, Karen
DIY Bangle & Bracelet Holders
I’m very much fond of arm candies ever since they were just called as bracelets and bangles. I’ve been also collecting (or should I say more like hoarding) these since like forever thus I find it really hard to store them given that I have tons of them. I tried storing them in boxes and it works nice but I always ended up messing them altogether. Such a pain. I always thought on buying those bracelet/bangle holders that are used in store displays and the likes and luckily, I found places where they sell these things in a very good price. BUT right now, I am on a very tight budget and wouldn’t want to spend anything unless it is of real importance. So I came up with this DIY project using materials that I found lying inside our house!

Singapore Trip Hauls
A little shopping won’t hurt ei? Said no wallet ever. I want to share the things I brought home from our Singapore Trip last May 2013. It has been what, 2 months? 3 months? since my last haul post. I’ve been saving up and resisting from impulsively shopping (again) for the things I want need. But our trip to SG ruined everything! Haha! I can’t help it okay. Imagine the sale signs every where you look, given that we didn’t catch the Great Singapore Sale, and you’ve been wanting to spend every single cent you meticulously saved for the last 2 months, hmm can you tell yourself NOT to SHOP? haha! I bet you can’t. Okay enough with these blabbering and let’s get down with this post. I got these shirts from Universal Studios Singapore for around SGD30. The Cylon shirt was my souvenir from the attraction- Battlestar Gallactica: Cylon and the actress shirt was from the hollywood themed souvenir shop. (I got it because I am an actress- Mahilig mag-inarte! lol JK The red skinnies were from Giordano at Lucky Plaza and the other pair was from Bugis Street. I need bottoms so the red one was a great addition to my boring collection (collection kahit 3 pairs lang lol) of pants and the other pair was a bonus because I got it for a bargain! I can’t get enough of this print and I was so happy when I got this for only less than 10SGD from Bugis Street! Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s with 2 packs of film - I bought this from Funan Digital Life Mall for 105SGD. This was the best (and most expensive) thing I got with my own money and I don’t regret it. I’ve been dying to have one of these since last year! I should have bought the latest model, the Mini 8, but no, I really wanted this over that and I’m happy with this! *_* Basic Tees from Giordano- I need these. Seriously. Actually, I lack basic pieces in my closet so getting these was a good choice! Plus these were on sale! I got the colors, black, gray, pink and that dark violet from the men’s section because I liked that color and it was not available in the women’s. Grungy, studded and acid washed shorts. Hmmm. Who can resist? I know I can’t plus the fact that I was in dire need of bottoms, specifically shorts in my closet. I got all of these from Cotton On. Skater skirts are another bestfriends of the girly girls out there, including myself. I got the black on from Cotton On Ion Orchard and the gray and striped one from Cotton On Changi Airport. They were again on sale! Makeup: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Honey and Sweetheart, VS Bombshell Body Mist from DFS Changi Airport and K Palette 24-hour eyeliner Tattoo and Loreal Color Riche Caresse in Lolita from SASA. I would never leave a country without buying new makeup. I had a short trip to SASA and was disappointed because it was too small and the price were really high compared with the SASA stores in Hong Kong. The Revlon Lippies was a long term want and need actually and I was really glad I found them at DFS in Changi Airport! I went back to our country happy but not my wallet, haha! But it turned out a happy ever after when my mom told me that I don’t need to pay for the INSTAX and mostly of all the items I mentioned above! (I “borrowed” money from her while we were shopping because I was not able to have my money changed to SGD). I was really thrilled and thankful for that, so thanks momma! *_* xo, Karen PS: Read my Singapore trip here: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3

Food Trippin' in Singapore
Of course, I won’t end my travel series without posting the food I had during the travel. So, for this time, I’m about to share the food I ate during my Singapore Trip! Day 1 Chicken Bee Hoon - 1.30 SGD Upon our arrival in Singapore, we had our (late) lunch first at Lucky Plaza. Calbee Chips and Pokka Peach Ice Tea As for our late night snack, we bought some chips from the 7-11 store, also at Lucky Plaza. Day 2 We had our buffet breakfast at our hotel. It was the first decent meal I have so far, I thought. Here’s what I had during our Universal Studios tour. I had Gingy and a blueberry shake that was so yummy! Minced Chicken with Dry Noodles - 3.30 SGD Hokkaido Milk Tea from Ding Tea These were my dinner that night. The noodles were so delicious and the milk tea was good too. Day 3 This was my breakfast during our last day but I forgot what this was called. This was also delicious! I love saucy food FYI. ;) Ah Wok lunch These were the food we had for lunch after shopping. The “pancit” was very flavorful. I didn’t eat the other dish because it was spicy. And this was for dinner but this time this was from the Asian Food Mall. I can say that from everything I ate during our stay in Singapore, this was my least favorite. Day 4 (day of departure) Fish and Chips I missed the regular food, given that I’ve been eating noodles for the past 3 days already, so I decided to have this Fish and (lots of) chips for breakfast. Wonton Noodle Soup, Changi Airport As for the airport food, we had lunch in one of the restaurants at Changi Airport and for the last time, I had noodles! Another food that I would never forget was the Takoyaki we bought while we were on our way to Bugis Street (day 3). The stall’s name is WOW TAKO and it was so goooooood! They actually and they were larger than the takoyakis here. I had four pieces of those in different flavor(?)- Tuna, salmon, tako (octopus) and I forgot the last one. DELICIOUS! Too bad I was not able to take a photo of the Takoyakis. That ends and sums up my Singapore Trip! I’m looking forward for more trips in the next year, or better yet, this year! Thanks for reading lovlies, hope you had a taste of Singapore through my posts. :) xo, Karen
Part Three, Singapore Trip 2013 The morning and afternoon of May 25, 2013, we went to Bugis Street and shopped for our souvenirs and pasalubongs. Before ending our shopping spree, we headed to Funan Digital Life Mall to buy one of the things of my wishlist, an Instax Mini. Yey! We left the mall with a shopping bag with my instax in it. hihi Moving on… Me, Raeza and Tito Rey We went back to the hotel and rested for a bit before heading to Marina Bay Sands to see the Merlion. We took the MRT going to Harbour Point. If I’m not mistaken, this is the Helix Bridge We road a boat going to the Merlion and it was really fun. The skyscrapers were beautiful at night! The moment we got down from the boat, we immediately took photos with the Marina Bay Sands as our background. Beauty, isn’t it? And here is the Merlion. I remember during my trip with the class, this was still under construction. We were surprised that night upon seeing the MBS, firing with lights. We didn’t plan to watch the play but it was too beautiful to miss. We went back to the hotel with great smiles on our faces because our last day in Singapore was beautiful. See Day one here and Day Two here. xo, Karen
Singapore Trip 2013, Part two If I had to choose between shopping and going to a theme park, I will not think twice and choose the second. Some of you already know how shopaholic I can be, especially when I travel, but there’s another thing about me that maybe some of you has no idea about. There’s this bold part in me that is not going away anytime sooner.- the thirst for thrill and adventure. May 24, 2013 Friday, was a family day for us. We spent the whole day at Universal Studios Singapore. It was a great time to go there we thought until the rain poured hard on our way to the park.

The Lion City, Singapore
Part one After 2.5 years, I had the chance to go back to Singapore. I’ve been to this country with my blockmates back in 2010 and just this last month, May 23-26, 2013, my family and my extended family took a short vacation in the Lion City. This post will contain a few snapshots on our first day. Our flight was at 6:25 in the morning via Cebu Pacific. We arrived at Changi Airport at around roughly past 10 in the morning. From the airport, we took the MRT going to Newton Station. We were checked in The Elizabeth Hotel and based on the map we had that time, we thought that the Newton Station was more accessible going to our hotel. Later on we realized that we should have alighted from the Orchard Station. From the Newton Station, we hailed two taxi cabs -one for us and one for our family friends. It was traffic that time which was a surprise for me because we didn’t experienced any traffic back in 2010. We arrived at The Elizabeth Hotel and was welcomed warmly by a Filipina who works at the reception. Feels good of having able to communicate effectively with our native tongue. We rested for a while and headed to the Orchard Road. It took us 10 minutes walking from our hotel to the famous luxury shopping spot in Singapore. We had our lunch in one of the food stalls inside Lucky Plaza. After lunch, we proceeded to our day’s itinerary and went to see the Marina Bay Sands. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to go up at the skypark because we were already tired and sleepy that day (we woke up at 12 midnight for our 6:25 am flight) so we just headed back to the hotel and slept. You may not see how tired we were in this photo of me and my sister though. :P xo, Karen Some photos were taken by Kara.
