First layers of colourful paints: decorating the walls of the top floor of my castle tower dollhouse.

I have found the right design for the library walls: maximalistic gotic wall paintings.

Before installing the second LED light strip, I have to finish painting.

After this first layer of paint, probably many will follow: black and/or brown washes plus highlights? I'm not sure yet.

I'm building my dream castle tower dollhouse in 1/12 scale; mostly sculpted paperclay. The doll in the first photo is one of seven inhabitants of the castle tower.

First floor: armoury with blacksmith shop.

Second floor: the Great Hall.

Third floor: the secret library with vaulted ceiling.

The Red Queen

The Tomb of the Red Queen is a burial chamber containing the remains of a noblewoman, perhaps Lady Ix Tz'akbu Ajaw, and two servants, located inside Temple XIII in the ruins of the ancient Maya city of Palenque, now the, in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas. It has been dated to between 600 and 700 AD. The tomb was discovered in 1994 by the Mexican archeologist Fanny Lopez Jimenez after being commissioned to perform routine stabilization work on a set of temple stairs by the local Archaeologist Arnoldo González Cruz . It takes its popular name from the fact that the remains of the noblewoman and the objects in the sarcophagus were covered with bright red cinnabar powder when the tomb was discovered.

I need everyone to know that I worked at Six Flags Great Adventure when these ads were huge and they had someone there dressed up as the old man wearing a latex old man mask that completely covered their head and you could get your picture taken with them

And every time I'd pass by the booth on the way to my station I'd see that poor worker dressed in a full suit wearing that latex mask dancing their heart out under the full heat of the summer sun and know that for at least one person hell was real
