Man Crush Monday:

Happy birthday, Jon Stewart! He’s been keeping a lower profile since he ended his 16-year run as host of “The Daily Show” last year, but I don't think he’ll ever be too far away from us. Hopefully, his day will be filled with the same sharp, intelligent humor that he always brought to the news. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to find a cake to jump out of ;)

No matter how much we try, it can be hard to cross everything off our to-do lists. Instead, it may be more helpful to focus on everything that you DID accomplish – a “done list,” if you will. It seems like a great way to realistically observe goals and priorities in action :)

Woman Crush Wednesday:

Kate McKinnon is having a banner year in 2016. The “SNL” comedienne co-hosted the Independent Spirit Awards, stole the show in the remake of ”Ghostbusters,” and won her first Emmy. Last week, she even played the piano and sang Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” as a poignant tribute to both his passing and Hillary Clinton’s presidential loss. Is there anything she can’t do? If so, we haven’t found it yet :)

Travel Tuesday: If your idea of vacation attire is an eyepatch and a wooden leg, head down to the Cayman Islands for their annual Pirates Week celebration. Embracing the maritime history of the region, this November-long festival plunders and pillages its way through events like parades, fireworks, and costume contests. Man Crush Monday:

Tom Ford does more than just design elegant fashion. His eye for details like color and angles also allows him to direct stunning films. After coming out of the gate strong with his 2009 debut “A Single Man,” he was behind the camera once again for ”Nocturnal Animals,” which will be released next week. Judging from the lush, gripping trailer, Ford may have outdone himself with his latest project. If you happen to own any of his apparel, wear it to the theater and support his multitasking! :)

Martha Wainwright may be known to many as the sister of fellow singer-songwriter Rufus, but she’s always blazed her own trail despite her famous music family. From the first time I heard her – on the brilliantly scathing song “BMFA” (decipher the acronym at your own risk, haha) – I knew she was in a league of her own. That legacy continues with this week’s release of her new album, “Goodnight City.” No need to pick a favorite sibling; both artists are Wain-“right” :)

Savory Saturday: It shouldn't take forever to make a nice meal. Here's an easy dish -- Cherry Prosciutto Grilled Pizza -- that only takes 30 minutes! Best of all, you can mix and match the toppings to your liking. Personally, I'm not a big fan of goat cheese, so I'd be tempted to swap it for bleu, feta, or gorgonzola.
