I finally managed to make a good name for this one species in my project/game (which will never be finished and I might start talking about it here)
Herbaedax Vorax. The Herbaedax Vorax name comes from the latin words herba, dax, and vorax. 'Herba' meaning 'grass', in this context, 'dax' means 'swamp', and 'vorax' means 'devouring.' The species is named that way because it presents itself as simple grass on the outside while being something else on the inside. How it looks on the inside is unknown. The species is mostly found located in swamps, the most populated location being : haven't thought of the name yet. It is a suspected carnivorous creature because it is mostly known for its danger to humans. It is unknown whether the species enjoys other animals as well. The species is often nicknamed the Gramsts by the locals of Kraven Hollow. (since gramen means also grass so like ok..)
hysteria was a diagnosis for women like since 1900 before christ in Egypt and like 500 yesr before christ in Greece. And it was only removed in the 1980s apparently. hello? what. I was already pissed off but now I'm double pissed

Notice how whenever you bring up James bullying Snape, people are always quick to point out Snape’s actions and make Snape look worse so they can uplift James? They never bring up any discrimination or trauma James faced when he bullied Snape. The only way for them to defend him is to mitigate his actions—not by bringing up the circumstances he was under, but by making Snape look bad so they can pretend he “had it coming.”
Usually, when you bring up a character’s wrongdoings, their fans are quick to explain their behaviour by bringing up what they went through that led to said wrongdoings. With Draco, they’ll say “but he was raised and spoiled by his blood prejudiced parents.” With Sirius, they’ll say “but he was wrongfully imprisoned and emotionally stunted by Azkaban.” With Snape, they’ll say “but he was severely bullied and had abusive parents.” With Remus, they’ll say “but he came from a marginalised community.” What can they say about James? What possible explanation is there for his wrongdoings? What hardships or emotional distress did he face during that time that might resonate with some readers?
James was as privileged as one could be, he was a rich, white, good-looking, pureblood, smart, athletic, and popular Gryffindor who was loved by his parents. His fans, knowing this, will do everything in their power to twist the narrative and victim-blame 16 year old Snape, just so they can argue that all the bad things James did to him were well-deserved.
James’s insane privilege is what makes his character so notably cruel, because, unlike some characters, he had EVERY opportunity to be kind to his inferiors. And he failed miserably.
why isnt there a free mahito figure in my mailbox, what the fuck is wrong with the world.
i love it when he's ugly and gross
favorite word?
nefarious. it looks cool
grr none of the photos look like it actually looks like in real life
Sometimes I think about Severus, and about what it must have meant for him when Dumbledore asked him to kill him. Even if it was a kind of assisted death, the fucking old man still asked him to do it. He asked him to kill the only person Severus was close to, the only one he had a real bond with, the only person who didn’t despise him within either the Order or the castle.
He asked him to kill him and then left him completely alone, to be torn apart by the wolves on both sides of the conflict. And on top of that, he asked him to take charge of the school and become the most hated person in the world.
I mean, that man didn’t just tell a teenage Severus — who had just survived an attempted murder — to keep his mouth shut to protect his abusers. He didn’t just manipulate him into working for him and force him to stay in the very school where he’d spent years being abused. He basically emotionally blackmailed him into performing euthanasia and then carrying the full weight of the so-called “great plan” on his shoulders.
Honestly, what a fucking vile old bastard. But do you know who’s even worse than the fucking vile old bastard? The people who know all of this and still go around saying that Snape was a bad person and spouting other absolute bollocks. You’ve got to have a hell of a thick face for that.
