At a time when women were deemed the lowest of the low and prohibited from many rights and practices;  Guru Nanak Dev Ji lifted the veil of ignorance and reminded us of the ultimate truth - The soul has no labels.

Sikh history is amazingly rich with women who have fought bravely in battles; on the frontline, as generals and bodyguards. Women who have gracefully managed whole villages and districts to teach and spread the Guru’s word. 

Most of society places the efforts of a women in beautifying her temporary body. 

The Guru’s taught us to embrace our pedestals and beautify our souls with the jewels of humility, compassion and strength.

We are Kaurs, princes, heirs to the King of Kings.
