I want my own person. I want my own girl bestfriend that I do everything with.
i just discovered you and you are now literally my favorite tumblr blog that talks about femininity!!!! in every post you left NO CRUMBS!! what are no-nos (attitude, looks, etc) that you should avoid at all times to maximize our pretty privilege? Thank u hunny 🌷
Before anyone has a hissy fit that I’m “telling everyone they have to do these things”, keep in mind that the keyword anon used here is MAXIMIZE pretty privilege. Meaning, you don’t have to do these things. But if you want to take it to the next level, here ya go.
Do not leave the house with your hair less than perfect. You have a brush. You have a comb. You have hot styling tools. You have youtube tutorials. Do your hair and do it right. Hair is so important to women’s looks. So so so important. No one was born knowing how to do their hair perfectly, it takes time and practice. We’re in the middle of a pandemic. I’m sure you can find some time for it.
Ignore “advice” telling you that dieting and exercise is the devil. It’s not. It keeps your body fit and active and healthier, which is more visually appealing to the general public. No matter how much you hate to hear it, the fact of the matter is that most people will respond 10x better to a body that is in shape and at a healthy weight. You can say that it’s not fair or not right or the evil patriarchy at work but when you’re done complaining, the truth will still be that the world prefers fit bodies.
People respect modesty. People are turned on by skin. There is a balance that you can play with. Walk the line and walk it well. Fully covered up but with clothes that fit to show off your curves. Overall modest outfit but with some leg out. Play both sides.
Wear makeup. Doesn’t need much more of an explanation really. Bring out your best features, add some color and vibrancy to your face.
Do not wear loungewear or house clothes outside. Wear REAL CLOTHES when you leave the house. REAAAALLLL CLOOOTTHHHEEESSS. Dresses, skirts, jeans, blouses. Not sweats and hoodies. Dress up for crying out loud. Most people don’t do that these days, so you will definitely get pretty privilege from it. Refine your style and dress up properly every day.
Do not skip your daily grooming. Your beauty routine should include daily bathing, exfoliating, skin care, hair removal, nail care, and dental care. Smooth skin, white teeth, manicured nails, yes ma’am.
Heels are the ultimate pretty privilege shoe. No other shoe will ever have the same impact as heels do. You want to really maximize pretty privilege? Start wearing heels. High heels, low heels, block heels, platform heels, heeled boots, idc. You said you want max PP so there’s your answer.
Avoid cursing in public. A lot of people find it vulgar or crude.
NEVER fight in public. Not verbally, definitely not physically (????), not with your friends, not with your bf, not with customer service. Don’t cop an attitude, don’t use aggressive body language, don’t behave in a vicious manner. Control yourself. Control your emotions. Stay composed.
Don’t smoke. Don’t smoke. Don’t smoke don’t smoke don’t smoke don’t smoke don’t sm
You get one drink and one drink only. Keep your senses sharp. Don’t look sloppy. “Party girl” and “alcoholic” are not words you want attached to you. Stop trying to keep up with the chuggers. Stop trying to out-drink your friends. And definitely stop posting pics of you getting wasted on girls night. Actually, limit how much alcohol you talk about and post pictures of in general.
Real hair, naturally occurring hair colors, makeup that is simple but impactful, non-tattooed skin, and clothing that isn’t too “out there” is what the absolute majority of people respond best to. That’s a fact. It doesn’t mean they don’t respond well to the contrary, it just means they respond BEST to what I said. Remember: the context here was MAXIMIZE pretty privilege.
Don’t let your politics become your main personality trait.

I can’t believe I just gave birth 3 weeks ago to my baby boy. I was so happy, sad but also felt alone. Even though my mom and bf was supportive but still no use. My son got diagnosed with trisomy 21 which is Down syndrome, I felt so many emotions and I still cry almost everyday since I had him. I felt like the world was over like it was a tragedy. But then when I go to the nicu everyday to see my baby boy and just look at him I see nothing but joy, sunshine, he’s my sunshine on a rainy day. My babyboy is gonna beat the odds, going to be handsome, smart, successful and most of all HAPPY. God chose me to be his mother for a reason. God, I thank you and challenge accepted ❤️🙏🏾

Damn I’m turning superstitious…usually I disregard these 🤷🏾♀️
Black people with vaginas who are pregnant I urge you to find a black doula or a midwife to help with delivery. The medical community is extremely racist and contributes to mortality of black infants and those giving birth.
There is legit a medical bias that black people feel way less pain than other races, so our pain is taken way less seriously. We could be in a life or death situation and the yt doctors and nurses will brush off our pain.
It happened to Serena Williams also (look it up).
Medical bias against black and brown people is very much real.
And I would recommend reading the Medical Apartheid it delves deeper into the racist medical community that is still prevalent to today
“According to the CDC, black mothers in the U.S. die at three to four times the rate of white mothers, one of the widest of all racial disparities in women’s health. Put another way, a black woman is 22 percent more likely to die from heart disease than a white woman, 71 percent more likely to perish from cervical cancer, but 243 percent more likely to die from pregnancy- or childbirth-related causes. ”

Here’s a link to the 1a page on this subject. Has a podcast about it as well as a link to Serena Williams discussing this:
