Stay (Jin) - BTS Imagines
Your boyfriend turned his head to look at you, dressed in your favorite cute pink dress.
You pouted hearing his cold response. For mother earth’s sake, you’ve dressed yourself up nicely, did your hair and put make-up just to see him. And that was his response? You gotta be kidding me.
He went back to focus to his work – he didn’t even get up from his seat at least to hug you for coming, like he usually did. It really broke your heart. Why has he become so cold and seem so distant lately?
Do you really have to ask that?
His comeback is near – of course he’ll be busy.
You opened your mouth to say something, but quickly closed it again as you thought it’d be pointless. Eventually, you went out from the building yourself and headed home.
You stared at the calendar for a while. Tomorrow is gonna be either a big, wonderful day or the worst and saddest day for you. You threw yourself on your bed, staring once again – this time at the ceiling. You kept replaying possible scenarios for tomorrow in your head, until your eyes became so heavy to stay open.
You looked at your watch.
You reached your phone and saw some “happy birthday~” messages from your friends. But none of them were from your boyfriend. You laughed bitterly. He’s really that busy.
In the morning, you went to Bighit again, walked fast to find your boyfriend. He was there, still sitting and scribbling things on the paper. You folded your arms and wore a cold face. “Are you gonna be busy today?” You asked, still maintaining the pose.
“Yeah, I’m sorry, Y/N.” This time, he didn’t even look at you.
You looked at him with disbelief.
“No time for my birthday at all?”
His hand stopped. He quickly looked at you with wide eyes.
You tried to look happy for him.
“Now you remember. Can we celebrate it together, then?”
“I’m sorry, Y/N. But I really can’t.”
You sighed. You went away from him. Small steps changed into big steps, you actually ran to your way out.
You looked back and saw Jin just got out from the building.
“Too late,” you mumbled to yourself and continued crossing the busy street.
You ignored him. You were in the middle of the road. The rain was pouring down out of nowhere. Tears suddenly filled your eyes. In this state, you couldn’t see the road clearly, thanks to your stupid worthless tears. Suddenly, a car was going full speed to your direction. You couldn’t think straight, and..
You felt your ears stinging. You could slightly hear the raindrops and Jin’s voice, calling your name many times. You couldn’t move your body. You saw Jin close to you, crying – or maybe it’s just because of the rain. You reached out to touch his face – and all you did was to paint his cheek in red.
Everything went pitch dark.
You woke up and saw everything white. You saw someone sitting beside you, sleeping. You shook his hand which was holding yours. He immediately woke up. You looked at him blankly. If you remember right..
“Y/N?! You finally woke up!”
You didn’t say anything. To be more exact, you didn’t know what to say.
“What happened?” You asked in a low voice.
You could see his expression darkened.
“It was entirely my fault.” Hearing his voice, memories suddenly poured in to your head. You remembered running out, the rain, the crash. But really man, you didn’t want to talk about it.
“How many days has it been?” You asked again.
He went silent for a moment.
You didn’t dare to ask anymore. But the fact that you woke up when he’s beside you shocked you. Suddenly some more people came in to the room.
“Noona, you finally woke up!”
“Hyung has been coming here whenever he’s got time, you know?”
You smiled just by hearing the voices. So lively, and you’re truly thankful for that. You finally looked back to Jin. He held your weak hand with his both warm hands, crying.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. I’m really sorry.”
Your heart ached seeing him like that in front of you. You didn’t say anything. You were afraid. It’s better to stay silent.
After a few days, you finally learned that you couldn’t move your legs anymore. To be honest, you didn’t really worry about it. What made you worry the most was, oh, you were pretty sure Jin would totally leave you. Being useless? You were more than useless now. But really, you tried to look cheerful in front of him.
“You knew I won’t be able to use my legs anymore, didn’t you?”
“You didn’t leave me?” You continued.
“How could I? I won’t ever do that.” He replied quickly.
Months passed, you left the hospital long ago, and here you were, at your home – relaxing under a thick blanket covering your body while watching shows.
“Here’s your hot chocolate,” You looked at your boyfriend wearing an apron.
He took off his apron and sat beside you, joining to relax together with you in the crazy winter. You rested your head on his shoulder.
You would spend your days happily. Oh, you didn’t really need the legs anyway. Hands and vision were more important in your work. To make it super plus, your loving boyfriend would always visit and spend time with you.
It wasn’t that bad, it was.. good enough, for a person who got into an accident.
Well, life didn’t turn out that bad, after all.
