SnK Couples and how they fair with PDA
If the act of flirting and slow burn somehow had a baby together, that baby would be whatever it is these two fools got going on. Do they even flirt in private? Do they know how to flirt? Who's to say. When you have a bond like theirs, and years of being by each other's side, you don't need to be so loud and proud about anything. They exchange lots of knowing glances and are at that point in the relationship where they can anticipate each other's exact response. They would kill it on a couple's dating show. Get no answers wrong, to the point it would be kind of obnoxious and everyone in the building would feel inadequate in their own relationships after seeing them display so candidly how well they know each other on an intrinsic level.
I'd say that because of their age and lived experiences, the two have gotten through most of life without feeling a need to outwardly show their love to the world. Erwin and Levi know very well what they mean to each other and have no desire to put that on broadcast. If you happen to bear witness to the aura of their love radiating off of them, consider it a little gift very few get to experience.
In private they can put it more on display, but the most pda you are going to get out of these two (besides their intense stare offs) is maybe their pinky fingers touching briefly as they share a desk and get some work done. Affection not for the public eye, I feel like Erwin would be the touchiest feely among the two. Levi is not opposed to it, he just feels awkward in his body to initiate it. He does warm up to the idea and overtime finds his own little ways to show physical affection with Winnie in their private personal time.
Eremin: The Sweethearts (Idealistic)
Eren loves pda to a fault. He's the type of casually possessive boyfriend who wants people to know about his beau, about how his is the best and likely better than Your partner. He's kind of loud about everything, especially showing off and bragging about the things in his life he is proud of, one of those things being Armin. He loves kissing, hand holding, arm around the shoulder, running up behind and picking Armin up etc. The more the public is aware, the better. This riles Jean up from time to time, which Eren counters with a "you're just jealous." (prior to him figuring out about Marco, still accuses him of being jealous long after.)
Armin has mixed feelings. He doesn't mind the attention (from Eren) but he isn't always in the mood to be put on display, even in front of their friends. He mostly goes along with it but puts his foot down when it gets to be too much. Eren backs off and respects it. He's just a shameless flirt and loud about his love, which is something Armin has come to love, he just has his limits.
Jeanmarco: The Sweethearts (Realistic)
Despite everyone figuring it out, Jean still seems to be a tiny bit miffed (at first) that everyone knows about him and Marco. He thought he was really good at keeping it under wraps, but no one can deny the way they look at each other from across rooms. It's so obvious to everyone but them, somehow. The way they find their way right next to each other, even if it doesn't really call for it. (Brings to mind them being split up in gym and the fools still passing the ball to one another despite being on different teams, HA) It becomes blaringly obvious that in the absence of each other how quick they go to bringing the other up in conversation. The gang can't tell if their quiet pining is worse or them being insufferable when they are separated. It's never for long or of their own doing, of course.
Marco opts for ambiguous friendly gestures like clapping a hand to Jean's shoulder or back pats. He is content with having Jean and doesn't need to broadcast it to everyone. He wants their friends to know eventually, but Marco secretly likes the idea that the two are being so sneaky and that nobody has figured it out. He assures Jean they have plenty of time before they tell their friends. They can share that info once they are ready. He thinks he's slick, but everybody knows. I'd say that they tend to be a more private couple. Behind closed doors Marco is something else. 👀
Reiner adores it, Bert is shy about it. He gets flustered really easily, but sometimes holding Reiner's hand helps him through it. It is a total toss up with lots of factors that could sway Bert one way or the other.
Bert isn't a fan of PDA but he is a fan of pleasing Reiner, so he compromises for the most part. It's really just a matter of Reiner being overtaken by cute aggression and he needs to squish Bertholdt's face, grab his hand and run off with him or get a big bear hug from his Bear! They aren't so obnoxious about it like Ymir and Eren. It mostly turns into the two of them having a moment in the background off to themselves and Jean, Eren, Ymir or Connie jokingly shouting "gaaaay" or some other obscenities to playfully tease their friends.
Queens of PDA. If they aren't touching skin some kind of way everyone is nervous and wondering if they are in the middle of beefing with one another. A rare occurrence. Not much I can say, we've all seen it. If Reibert are the yearners then these mfs are THEE lovers. No hesitation, just action!
Similar to the dynamic of Eremin, Ymir can lean a bit insufferable, like Eren and be rather showoffy It is however, less of a challenge like how Eren presents it, and more of an unapologetic confession. The way you walk into a room an announce you are hungry is how Ymir would enter a room professing her undying love for her perfect girl, Historia.
The issue is that Hange would do anything anywhere with Moblit, for science, of course! Their lack of boundaries just might send poor Moblit to an early grave. Truthfully, Hange's not so bad about it, but when drunk or otherwise not preoccupied with busy work, they could at any given moment slip into a flirty mood and cling to Moblit longingly.
Moblit is indifferent, a mostly private guy but he isn't opposed to it. He just doesn't think to do it, as he spends most of his aware and waking hours keeping Hange from hurting themselves. Hange has no concept of what it means to be chill, and he knew this way before they made things official. I think they would benefit from some light pda, hand holding, but are they holding hands out of a need for Moblit to keep them in check or because they needed to be reassured and connect with one another. Both can be true.
