Hello everyone! My name is Julianne but most people call me Lea or Julia sometimes and I’m from the gmt zone! I joined this rp like ages ago, but for some personal reasons I didn’t have the time to rp but now I’m back and decided to join again cause to be honest this group seems pretty amazing. Okay sooo I don’t know what else to tell you about myself sooo I’ll just go ahead and tell you a little bit about Naledi.
Naledi Biobaku was borned in Naples, Florida to two afro-american parents.
Nallie doesn’t remember a lot of her mother, she left her and her father when she was four years old. Even though his father tried to give her the life she deserved it wasn’t enough. His works shifts lasted long hours and by the time he was home Naledi was already asleep.
For two years straight Naledi was practically raised by nannies, some of her father’s friends and even neighbor’s. Even though she barely saw he father, she didn’t hold any grudges against him because she knew the reason why he was gone almost the whole day.
At the age of 7 her father sent her with her aunt who lived in Crownsville. It was supposed to be a few days visit, just for the summer vacation but a few days before Naledi was supposed to go back to Naples both her father and aunt agreed that it would be best for her if she moved to Crownsville with her aunt and cousins.
Again, Naledi didn’t complained about it or showed any anger to her father for sending her away cause she was sure they did it thinking it was the best for her. Besides it was a welcoming change, with them she finally had the whole big family experience. She went from being the only child to sharing space and room with another three kids. Her cousins became pretty much like her siblings and her aunt was the mother figure she never had.
After highschool she went to University of California in Berkeley where she majored in Astronomy and a few years later she moved to LA because of a job opportunity at the Griffith Park Observatory, yeah the one from La La Land.
The reason she’s back? Her aunt and uncle. Even though she loves her job, she felt like it had been a while since she last visited her aunt in Crownsville. So now she’s back in town just for a couple of days.
Personality & Headcanons
She is a vegetarian and is trying to go full vegan. But she isn’t the annoying vegan type of person who goes around telling everyone that eating meat is bad, and that everyone should go vegan as well.
She loooves painting, dancing and singing. She’s not very good at any of those but that doesn’t keep her from doing it.
Has an african tortoise named Frank. It was a gift from a friend, funny thing, the person who gave her the turtle bought it thinking it was just a regular one so it was a huge surprise for both of them when it just kept growing.
She dates and goes out with people but nothing ever too serious, she’s a free soul, she doesn’t like to feel like someone is tying her down. So the closest thing to a serious relationship was probably in high school.
Her name means star and she ended up majoring in astronomy. Coincidence? Don’t think so.
Personality wise she’s very chill and doesn’t take a lot of things seriously.
She’s sort of an optimistic person and always tries to see the bright side of things and people.
Very open minded and friendly but also can be easily distracted.
Like I said she’s very friendly and chill so she rarely gets angry.
