I don't have a tumblr or else I would ask with my account, I just stumbled across your blog when I googled "Wickford Castle." Anyway, you have a great blog, I love how you've managed to recreate these places so well. I was curious, do you know what these places you post pictures of actually are and where they are? Or do you just try to find pictures that match the Nancy Drew games as well as possible? I'm on a mission to visit places that are reminiscent of the Nancy Drew games

Thank you so much!! Most of the interiors are from different places than the exteriors but the specific few I found that are close to the game designs are:

- Thornton Hall: Oak Alley Plantation in Louisiana and Bonaventure Cemetery in Georgia- Waverly Academy: Skylands Manor in New Jersey- The Final Scene: interior of the London Palladium Theatre- Shadow Ranch: Bodie, California (ghost town pictures I used but Goldfield, Arizona is a good shout) Gila Cliff Dwellings in New Mexico and Canyon de Chelly White House National Monument in Arizona- Haunted Mansion: a Victorian mansion in Newnan, Georgia- Wickford Castle: Windsor Castle in England, Inveraray Castle in Scotland, Biltmore Estate library in North Carolina- Castle Malloy: Glenveagh Castle in Donegal, Ireland and Rock of Cashel, Ireland- Finster Castle: Burg Eltz and Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany- Blackmoor Manor: I believe the picture I used is a manor in Cornwall, England although I’m not certain where. None of the interiors are from the same house. - Shadow at Water’s Edge: random ryokans in Japan though the first pic is in Kyoto

Where do you find the pictures you use for photo sets? I've been trying to find these kinds of pictures for forever!

Super late response, sorry!! Honestly hours of googling very specific images “astrology themed bedrooms” “Victorian parlors” “foggy English estates on the moors” etc. I want the pictures to be as accurate to the games as possible (for nostalgic/atmospheric reasons and perfectionist ones). :)
