Extra doodle and headcanon:

Been thinking about Mike and Will getting married on impulse in 2021 because when they wanted to get married during their 20s, they couldn’t, and by the time it got decriminalised, they just didn’t care enough. They were basically married anyway. But on Will’s 50th birthday, he just looks at Mike, who cooked him an elaborate birthday dinner and goes “I want to be married to you.” And Mike (being Mike) immediately says “Let’s do it. Next week.” And the rest is history.

I think my favorite thing about fleabag is how unapologetically KIND she is when needed? Like, sure, she's completely crazy, unhinged, impulsive and does hurt people in many instances. But then, in the most unexpected ways, she's also remarkably kind in situations most people would simply shy away from (like when her sister ... in the first episode of season 2, or her father … by the end of the same season).

She's not afraid of the ugliness that comes from being human. She embraces it, and makes it a point of mutual understanding with people. We’re all fallible, and not only does she know it, she also cherishes it in her own way.

Just my thoughts about masterful writing and great character development as I’m rewatching fleabag for the millionth time. Phoebe-Waller Bridge, you’re my hero 💜

Do you know what I think about a lot every time I listen to Hozier.

How in Jackie and Wilson he says “every version of me dead and buried in the yard outside” and “looking up from a cigarette she’s already left, start digging up the yard for what’s left of me and our little vignette, For whatever poor soul is coming next” because who he was before this person died and now he is trying to find who he used to be as well as what used to be of them. AND THEN. In Like Real People Do he says “why were you digging, what did you bury?” And then LATER says “I knew that look dear… was there in someone that dug long ago” referring to himself, “so I will not ask you why you were creeping, in some sad way I already know” BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN THERE BEFORE AND KNOWS HOW THEY FEEL BECAUSE HE DID IT IN JACKIE AND WILSON.
