I'm so tired of the "Pierrot is actually a manipulative psychopath" and "Harlequin is way more innocent" takes.

I hate that Pierrot gets treated like a baby in the fandom, but he's not a psychopath either. Him "manipulating" you is just his attempt to court you and get you to like him, the same way that any person might with someone they like. He's not pretending to be sweet, the other tfc members have repeatedly said that's just his personality, and Harlequin even makes fun of him for being such a puppy. He's not innocent, but he's not pretending to be someone he's not. He's hiding things from you because he doesn't want to scare you off.

While Harlequin's honesty is refreshing and appreciated, he's not innocent because of it. He originally goes after you to use you as a pawn to piss off Pierrot.

Pierrot and Harlequin are on the same level. They both stalk and harass you trying to win your love.

Yes, Pierrot drugs you and chains you up. He's a Yandere. It's a Yandere game.

Harlequin may have let you go, but not before harassing you. Neither of them are saints. It's the whole point of the game.
