at times people look for attention, or even recognition but it gets mixed up with and overshadowed by ego, and that effort to convince oneself and others that its not about ego turns into a battle with one's own sense of pride. a lot of times people perceive attention in a negative way but its not by default innately negative. a lot of things have premises based on some form of attention / recognition. energy follows attention. a connection is tethered by energy and attention. an intentional disregarding of these things can lead to a person having issues with perceived dignity and perceptions of respect from external sources. one can act on their own and stand on their own, yes, but tribes and villages are always foundations for one to stem from and build upon. even goku always pulled out a spirit bomb to defeat his most formidable adversaries.
