“If you knew how hard it was, and how long it took, to rebuild my little universe of peace and happiness then you would understand why I’m so picky about who I allow in my life.”
— Weird People
Janet Fitch, from White Oleander
“I plant roots so deeply in the people I love that I always lose a piece of myself when they go.”

“Love doesn’t always mean fireworks. Sometimes love is a slow burn that keeps you warm, and sometimes it’s a bonfire that can’t be contained.”
— Megan Hart, All the Secrets We Keep
“Let’s raise children who won’t have to recover from their childhoods.”
— Pam Leo
